Shivalaya Hotel — Hotel in Tamil Nadu

We stayed there for 2 days during July 2025. The room is large enough with clean linen but no exhaust fan in the toilet. So it gets smelly. And, you have occasional mosquitoes . No kettle for making tea / coffee on your own and no restaurant nearby. However, the service is excellent. The staff can get you coffee tea from a nearby tea shop very fast. They give you extra towels if you need. You get autos at a short notice. The reception staff are very good, pleasant and courteous . The location is close to Bus stand. It's an old building and they have renewed the rooms. The room is pretty clean and looks very nice. But all those positive things are shadowed with bad service. There was a single bath towel and no hand towels were provided. No blankets were provided and there was only a single layered sheet. No Shampoo, dental kit and other goodies were provided.The AC and wall mounted control were really good and works perfectly well. The best in the hotel and the hotels I have ever stayed before. Parking facility is available. I think they will improve going forward once the renovation is complete. And if you are looking for smoke free rooms...
