La Luna Rooftop Restaurant — Restaurant in Tamil Nadu

A last-minute plan for the team so ended up at this place. Had to call for a booking since the group was big. But even after booking we were made to switch places which was not appreciable. Loud music was a problem while the service was mediocre. Had to wait a long time for every dish owing to slow service.

Fried mozzarella sticks - Well-fried cheese sticks with a good panko taste 👌

Tempura vegetables - Very raw and bland vegetables and what was battered with them is beyond my understanding, Just BAD 👎

Parmesan wings - Probably their best cause this had spicy garlic and cheesy parmesan topped very well; very unique in flavor and tender 😋

Cajun chicken - Yes, a delicious chicken marinated and fried to perfection; the gunpowder on top of it was kicky and fragrant; served with a sweet sauce 👏

Nachos - Clueless about the cheese on top of it since it got hard by the time it reached our table, Not crispy, NOPE 😑

Tandoori chicken pizza - Thick crust, topped with lots of mozzarellas, Bell pepper, and scallion; not at all good, no distinct flavor, bland, and OH NO!! 😞

Grill chicken sizzler - Full chicken grilled and sizzled in creamy chicken Dijon mustard sauce and herbs served with veggies and fries; mild spiced, could've been a bit more tender, OK 🙄

Oh my God mocktail - A different combination of pineapple, cream, and coconut milk; the lime flavor with the vanilla ice cream on top of it was enjoyable. Perfect sweet, a bit sour but very good 😊

Decent parking space but limited seating so it gets cramped up. Most of the dishes were overpriced and this was pretty much similar to a bar with...

Visited the place on 4th August 2023, it is a small place on the 5th floor with a good ambience. The Service was pathetic as there was only person who can take order and the same person will prepare mock tails, and also orders food to the restaurant. When we went it was full, with one table was free to accommodate us 3. No spoons, or forks been kept, water not been served and the menu was a print out paper with limited food items and most of them not available. Liquor is served in the roof top, and seems the food was not given that importantance. The Prepared Food was delicious, and the quantity was sufficient. This restaurant is listed in dineout but they don't accept the payment through dineout. Had a hard time and wasting sometime to understand the situation behind online payment. The staff was ok and he assured it will not get repeated next time. May be will try one more time for the food and ambience, and edit my review if there is an improvement.

Update on 28th August 2024

After an year visited this place again, lot of improvements on the service is made and the food is prepared quickly. Also the number of people for services have been increased giving a great experience altogether now.

Food was delicious and a different variety to try.

So I visited this place to celebrate my new year. The place was very clumsy; it is a very small space, and they call it a rooftop restaurant. But I'm someone who prefers food over ambience and others.

Firstly, the service was very poor, and here are a few reasons to justify

Even water was not served to us. This is a very basic thing even in a local shop. We ordered just 4 dishes, and we waited for 1½ hours. In fact, the time we spent waiting was way more than the time we spent eating. The waiters were so irresponsible that they won't even listen to you if you call them. Even the tables weren't clean, and we had to call the waiters to clean them, and guess what? We waited for 10 minutes for that too. They pay attention only to people who visit as a gang. They will not even consider if you go as a couple or a single person. The only thing that came soon was the "bill."

However, I understand that this could be due to the new year, and this is a newly opened restaurant.

But all these points that I mentioned are so basic that even local dhabas would follow.

Secondly, the food was very average in taste. And they charge way too much just because there are no such restaurants in that locality claiming to be "rooftop restaurants."

Hence, I would not recommend...
