I recently visited Dindigul Thalappakatti in Kilambakkam, intrigued by the restaurant's reputation for serving authentic South Indian cuisine, particularly their renowned biryani. While the overall experience had its highs and lows, it left me with mixed feelings. The restaurant's ambiance is a pleasant mix of traditional and contemporary elements. The decor reflects the rich cultural heritage of South India, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The seating arrangement is comfortable, and the staff is generally courteous, adding to the positive first impression. Now, let's talk about the highlight – the biryani. The Dindigul Thalappakatti biryani did live up to its reputation in terms of flavors. The aromatic blend of spices and the tender, well-cooked meat were noteworthy. However, I found the rice slightly overcooked, compromising the overall texture of the dish. The portion size was generous, making it a good value for money. The menu offers a variety of South Indian dishes, and we decided to try a few. The starters were a hit, with the flavorsome Chicken 65 and crispy masala vada standing out. The main course, however, had some hits and misses. The dosas were exceptional, but the sambar lacked the authentic taste I was expecting. On the downside, the service was a bit inconsistent. While some staff members were attentive and prompt, others seemed disinterested.

I have dined here many times , previously it was good. But now quality is gone. I reported twice before to them while dining, that some object is there in the food. And this is the third time. So i ordered 65 biriyani and black pepper chicken boneless. The 65 pieces had plastic paper in it. While, i reported they came to my table, and immediately, told the servers to disperse my plate, while i was asking him what it was. He told me it was the plastic which they use to roll chicken and it was a mistake. Then i heard a couple of sorry. I almost had my dishes, and the plastic went inside my mouth, while chewing it i understood and spit it out. I already took photos before reporting, since it had happened in the past. They were telling me they will arrange juice, but i am not interested. And he said we will not add 65 biriyani in the bill. After neglecting it multiple times, since i almost had it fully. He didn't add the biriyani in the bill amount. But that does not sum up ryt? They do not understand that it's a premium resatruent and people come here for quality food, good service and ambience. I don't opt for this restaurant if i thought of saving a few hundred. I'm a big fan of this branch earlier but not any more.

I had bad experience today.i was about to board my bus to my husband native and the boarding point was near Thalappakati thought of having kuska as it's one of my fav restaurant with authentic taste and famous for seeragasamba ,And also after years i came india for vacation as I am settled in Sweden,And aIso i am a briyani lover thought of having my dinner here and I had ordered for takeaway to have it in my bus . I found a small cockroach as soon as I saw that falling on the food from my box cap I called the restaurant and informed that from the packing box cap it felt down and I saw that I had opened it it's on the top of the food , the person on the other side said will go the kitchen and will check give me some time mean while you send me the picture will check, i didn't as he said After 3 min I got a call by stating i had checked the kitchen I couldn't find any insect will make sure next time it will not happen. So tell me one thing after all these will I order my food again?? Mistake happens but i don't think so playing with my health and hygiene is not a small mistake......never ever I'll have my food here such a irresponsible answer I got what if my health go worst next time can u give it back ........
