Disappointing Experience at Dindigul Thalapakatti, Vandalore, Chennai.
I visited Dindigul Thalapakatti in Bangalore on Saturday, September 14, 2024, at 3 pm with high expectations, but unfortunately, my experience was a letdown.
Food: 3/5 The Ceylon parotta was fresh and hot, and the Chicken 65 was okay. However, the Chicken Biryani was good, but the quantity was very less, not justified for the cost. The gravy served was cold, and even after requesting a replacement, it was still served cold. The white rice quality was not up to the mark, and the Moru moru prawn was over-fried. The Mutton nali gravy order had only two pieces, which was disappointing.
Ambience: 3/5 The restaurant is located on the second floor, and the tables are very small and cramped. The clearance of the table was not happening, and all the employees' dishes were lying around as we ate.
Service: 4/5 The service was good, but the staff seemed to be struggling to keep up with the demands.
Negatives:
Quantity of food served is very less, not justified for the cost. Gravy and curd served cold. White rice quality not okay. Moru moru prawn over-fried. Mutton nali gravy order had only two pieces. Serving vessels look big, but the quantity served is horrible. Curd served only once, and then they said it was over.
Conclusion: It seems like Dindigul Thalapakatti is on cost-cutting measures or making more profits, visible from the packet of sombu they give after meals. They need to improve on the quantity of food they serve to justify the cost they charge. Very expensive and not justified for the quantity vs...
