Madurai Kumar Mess — Restaurant in Tamil Nadu

I was orders 2 set idly(Take away). They mentioned price as 42 for one set in wall poster(GST included) for parcel 5% we have to pay. But in bill they mention idly as 50rs for one set and total is 100 then parcel service is 5 rs added. I asked them to clarify this extra 8rs charges, but they said it's a different menu rate for take away then one 40 year old man come and said like that and again I asked what is the resaon for 8rs and told am also paid parcel service also. But he didn't reply properly and said 'pidikalana customer varanumnu avasiyam ilai sir' in appropriate manners. Even I am ready to buy with this rate but informed to check with owner but he didn't ready to do that. I was returned the order and bought at erode cafe they mentioned parcel charge as 10 for whatever you buy. (Reasonable charge) very worst service their cashier also accepted the mistake of that. But that person not agreed. Very worst I want to say ' I will share my experience to one or two people means u lost that customer also' . Customer is like a chain link so don't harras...

I went to this restaurant for dinner after I got off the train. Four idlis Rs 84. Single idli Rs 21. Other menu items are also high priced. Self service and not even chairs to sit on. When I asked them why no chair, they said you can go upstairs then sit and eat. But rates are high if you opt upstairs. The ground floor itself charges more without A.C, chairs and self service. Tambaram railway station is mainly used by middle class and lower middle class people. There is no affordable restaurant in the Tambaram station for the lower middle class. Everywhere I can see only Madras cofee, A2B, Chai wale and Madurai Kumar mess like that only. Poor railway management. I hope, Tambaram railway station will be given to Adani...

They dont provide side dish(chutney, saambar, non veg kolambu ) even for dosas...never heard this stuff anywhere.. side cost 200 for a dosa of 70 ... to avoid heavy food, i enquired is there any items that comes with a side dish like a proper hotel .. the waiter said all items u have buy gravy !!!!!... meand technically u cant eat for lesser than 300 here.. a.c not working.. hotel not apprachable.. not crowd.. entrance is deel inside ... came out without eating.. had been to madurai kumar mess many a times... but they r costly but dont loot like this.. a hotel which dont even a have a dish to feed a customer... seems keen on filling their pockets from the very...
