Nizam Biriyani Multi cuisine family restaurant — Restaurant in Tamil Nadu

One of my favorite shop for Biriyani's in chennai for past 15 years, When my business was in 2nd lane Beach hot and happening place for different types of biryani's, my regular lunch was biryani from different places of chennai in which Nizam Royapuram always finding place in Top 3 Biriyani's of chennai.

After a long gap approximately after 2 years visited Today !!! restaurant became Big with 10 Tables with air-conditioning previously small in same place with only 4 Tables, in the beginning he was only doing for orders, then started small restaurant 15 years back. Will send my staff he is a Foodie like me so loves to travel any distance to bring Finest biryani for lunch.

Two wheelers can be parked easily, cars bit difficult to find place.

Today's Order Biriyani ( my language Biriyani means only Mutton Biriyani ) Good to see maintaining Taste for years, inr 280/= good pricing for huge 2 pieces with egg and medium size bowl easily fills for 1 person good eater, diet person 3/4 of 1 biryani is enough.

Biriyani was with good aroma of Basmati Rice, juicy Mutton pieces, succulent pieces cooked in perfection, today I felt bit less salt in Biriyani and more irritants ( masala, cinnamon sticks, tomatoes) bit disturbing to eat.

Finger fish INR 280 /= Good minced fish deep fried 10 pcs. Of little finger size, Loved it !!! not done is basa fish, was in good sea fish.

Tandoori Chicken 1/2 inr 220, Tasted good with charred taste, amazing to taste nowadays tried in 3 restaurants short perio of time, all serving ready-made marinated masla tasting like barbecue chicken calling it Tandoori chicken, it's not Tandoori masala but it was good Taste.

Had lemon juice at the end. Never drink or take any desert till 1 hour since love to have biryani taste in mouth. Since getting older for digestive needs these gimmicks.

Note : plates were small to accommodate all my side dishes, need Bigger Plate.

Finished with near by famous kunniram General store mango ice cream and mango...

Nizam briyani and catering is located near to Royapuram, one of the most loveliest places in Chennai. Nizam briyani serves non vegetables after doing hallal. So, it's a nice place for Muslims to eat non vegetables. We can go to the shop and eat there. There is also availability of order and took it to home or office. But, the disadvantage is Nizam is a very small shop. At a time, only few people can sit and eat there. All the items in Nizam briyani and catering are very tasteful. Especially, naan and butter naan they served taste very good. Naan with starters like mutton gravy, egg gravy, chicken gravy is very taste. Normally, I did not eat non vegetables very much. But, once I will go to Nizam briyani and catering, I would eat more and more, because of the so much taste. But, when we get parcel, there is less only quantity they will give when compared to eat in the shop. So , personally I thought it will be good if they expand Nizam briyani and catering hotel. Today I visited there with my friend. Actually we both are not hungry so we ordered just one mutton Biryani alone. Waiter's behaviour is very bad. Since we ordered one item alone, his behaviour is not in good manner. We got angry and about to leave the restaurant. But we ordered the food so wait calm. Finally bill came. Actual price of mutton Biryani in menu is ₹200, but they billed ₹240. While asking they stating that parcel is ₹200, and 20₹ extra for each plate two plates kept so 40₹ extra. Also he stated that if you ordered any side dish we won't charge extra 40₹. Wattaa wrost behaviour...! So they are charging for cleaning the plates??. That too for those who order one item.
