Food: Angara Paneer tikka - Soft smoked paneer tikka marinated with freaking amazing spices; mild-spiced, juicy flavors along with the charred taste from the coal, this was GREAT 👍
Murukku cheese sandwich - 8 small murukku stuffed with grated parmesan and green chili (mint) paste; this trendy snack is perfect for all weather, crunchy & spicy good 👏
Hot garlic sesame pineapple - Funny enough that this tasted so damn good; it was similar to honey chili potato except for the potato (replaced with pineapple); sweet & spicy with saucy pineapple, TOO GOOD 😍
Hara Bhara Kebab - This green kebab had nicely minced vegetables with spices and served as deep fried tikkis; so damn soft, with no spice yet perfect with the thick mint dip and saturated onions 🙌
Paneer Achari with Family Naan - Cottage cheese in spicy achari paste which was apt for the Naan; the sour flavor from the achari, and slightly smooth & sweet gravy went perfectly with the fluffy Naan (topped with cheese & apple), WOW🥰
Punjabi thali - One of the best thalis I've tried; both with quality and quantity, the right combination and proportion of all dishes on the plate ❤️ It had paneer masala with Naan/roti, veg korma, and dal with veg Biryani, Papad, salad, and thick raita. On the whole, all the dishes on the platter were top-notch, soft paneer, smooth dal, crunchy korma, fluffy rotis, aromatic and flavorful rice, WOW, TOO GOOD, MUST TRY!!! 😍😍
Blackcurrant mojito - Had the right kick with sweet fruit flavors, refreshing 😊 Mango lassi - Thick lassi with mango syrup flavors all over, sweet - Perfect, consistency - Perfect, HIGH FIVE to the drink 😁 Litchi mojito (day's special) - Not sure if there was any litchi in it since it wasn't evident, just OKAY 🤔
Fire & Ice - My typical out-of-the-box drink; blue curacao mojito with green chili all over it; one sip and it hits the sweet note and as it delves deep down it hits the spicy note along the throat; ENJOYED IT 🤩
Paan Kulfi - Mouth freshening ice cream that provided the right cool stuff after all the sour and spicy stuff, but not a fan of it 🫢
Ambiance/Price: When it comes to pricing this place is pretty decent with great Quality: Price ratio. The service was spot-on with very quick attention for both seating and food (Sufficient seating space helped in reducing the wait time); table booking is recommended. Their Punjabi setup and ambiance were something noteworthy, not many of such places in Chennai, KUDOS to that. Their valet parking does alleviate us from the struggle of...
Read moreI recently dined at this restaurant and ordered a variety of dishes including "Paneer Paratha," "Mixed Paratha," "Butter Naan," "Paneer Tikka Masala," and their famous "Special Patiala Lassi." Overall, my experience at the restaurant was quite enjoyable, but there were a few aspects that stood out to me.
Firstly, let me talk about the taste. The food at this restaurant was absolutely delicious. The "Paneer Paratha" and "Mixed Paratha" were both freshly prepared, with a perfect blend of flavors and spices. The "Butter Naan" was soft and had that authentic tandoori flavor. The "Paneer Tikka Masala" was rich, creamy, and the paneer was tender and well-marinated. The highlight for me, however, was the "Special Patiala Lassi." It was incredibly refreshing and had a delightful balance of sweetness and tanginess.
The service was another positive aspect of my visit. The staff was attentive, friendly, and made sure we had a comfortable dining experience. They were quick to refill our water and attend to any special requests we had.
However, the only downside was the pricing. While the quality of the food and the service were commendable, I couldn't help but feel that the prices were on the higher side. Dining here could be a bit heavy on the wallet, especially if you order multiple items. I would have appreciated more reasonable pricing for the dishes.
In conclusion, the restaurant offers a fantastic culinary experience with a wide range of delectable dishes and excellent service. If the prices were a bit more competitive, it would undoubtedly be a top-notch dining destination. If you're willing to splurge for a memorable meal, this place is worth a visit, but keep in mind that it might be...
Read moreMy husband & myself went for dinner on 31st Oct, 2023. The ambience may be suggestive of a Punjabi outlook, but I felt there are just too many elements. I had seen the reviews & decided to go there, but wonder if it's more hyped. The food is okay like any other restaurant of its genre like Palmshore, Barbecue, Ponni's Inn, around this belt. Nothing exclusive, we had ordered Pulao, Laccha paratha, paneer butter masala, Patiala lassi I guess(₹199/-), harabhara kabab. The kebab was too too spicy which the waiter should have informed us because I had told him that I do not want gravy spicy. The Pulao was hardly like how pulao should be. The strangest part that I would like to put forth is that the waiters & waitresses (atleast 4-5) were going on munching something even while serving the guests. One even went as far as drinking water from the bottle directly & then placed it on the platform from where food was served. He also was eating something just next to the juice bar even during the process of serving the guests. At the drinks counter, the tasting was going on with a spoon & I have no idea what happens with that spoon, goes back into the next glass? The Word that comes to my mind is pathetic. When we wanted to put forth the grievance & asked for manager, the boy said he isn't there & another bearer came to listen to us. Infact I told him I will not come back here. If serving area is like this, how would things...
