Mixed Bag Experience at 96 Guruchand Restaurant

My recent visit to 96 Guruchand Restaurant left me with mixed feelings. While the ambiance was delightful and the manager displayed exceptional hospitality, the overall dining experience fell short of expectations.

Firstly, the pricing of the menu items was notably high, leaving me feeling that the value for money was not justified. Despite opting for the Chicken 65 Biriyani, the taste failed to meet the mark. Additionally, the "Bai veetu Biriyani" advertised did not live up to its promised uniqueness, resembling a standard biriyani instead.

On the positive side, the manager's demeanor was commendable, exuding coolness and humility, which added a pleasant touch to the dining experience. The ambiance of the restaurant was also appealing, contributing to a comfortable atmosphere for patrons.

However, the disappointment stemming from the overpriced and underwhelming food overshadowed the positives of the visit. For a bill totaling 578 rupees(Chicken 65 Biriyani without egg 250rupees, Fish Finger 250 rupees, Goli soda 50 rupees, plus taxes), the quality and taste of the dishes did not align with the expenditure.

In conclusion, while 96 Guruchand Restaurant offers a pleasing environment and commendable management, the high prices coupled with subpar taste leave much to be desired. Visited this place on two days - Friday for lunch and Sunday for dinner. In the first visit, everything was very good. In the second visit there was shortages even as early as 7.45pm. Egg biryani served with one egg instead of two and all biryani did not have their bread halwa. The waiters justification was the shortage is from 2pm itself being a Sunday. The owner had the audacity to say (we were able to hear from our table) to the waiters "just keep quiet and the customer will pay and go off". Will not go here again.
