Rasikas Restaurant — Restaurant in Tamil Nadu

There’s a great hype about this restaurant in Salem so i decided to make a visit. Ambiance is not so great as most of the part in the restaurant is super dusty like they haven’t cleaned it for decades. Waiter came to me and forced me to speak local language, when i informed him I don’t know local language he struggled with broken English mixing local language ( Tamil) . I ordered him Mutton Fried Rice , Chicken Lollipop and a pet bottle of Pepsi . I got shocked to see my order A mutton biryani was delivered to me . When i asked that waiter I ordered mutton fried rice not biryani , he said ohhh no problem next time sir 🙄 Is this the way to apology? All the waiters were looking at and gossiping and laughing. I felt so humiliating. Let’s come to food I never had such tasteless briyani ever in my life this was not even a biryani . Biryani supposed to be full of flavours with quality basmati rice , don’t know what are you serving? Look at the Lollipop , it’s more simple fried chicken than lollipop. It was just worst experience ever. Never visiting ever.

Used to be our choice since 2009, we always used to takeaway the food neither than having at the restaurant and always had a good experience, however yesterday we have ordered two butter naan, two galta parotta, one butter chicken masala (takeaway), which turned out to be the worst experience, the butter chicken masala and galta parotta had no complaints was excellent as always however the butter naan turned out to be a horrific experience, it had no flavour of butter and not cooked properly, it was completely raw batter which you could see on the pictures, usually never had such experience with rasikas, however called them up for another replacement and they quickly accepted it, 4 starts for the customer service and quick resolution for the replacement!!

One kind advice to the management : there are lot of new competitors around who could give us good quality food for the same cost, it's only for the customer service we come back to you, kindly take measures in quality management in the kitchen, a surprise audit in the kitchen by the owner might workout with...

My experience at Rasikas Restaurant was a bit disappointing. It had great reviews and a high rating too but when we reached there, let's just say, it didn't live up to our expectations. First of all, the actual seating area is upstairs and the stairs that lead to it look shady. When we reached the seating area, the atmosphere was unexpected to say the least. It was not very clean, and the whole atmosphere wasn't good. We ordered 2 chicken biryanis and 1 plate of veg noodles.
