Salem RR Biriyani — Restaurant in Tamil Nadu

Yesterday, I visited RR Salem in Valasaravakkam and purchased one chicken biryani and one mutton biryani. This has always been my go-to place when I need to serve biryani for more than five people in the family. Instead of ordering through Zomato or Swiggy, I decided to pick it up directly and it was indeed served piping hot as the pots arrived in from the kitchen at noon when I went there

However, I was quite disappointed with the hygiene at the outlet. When I arrived around 1 PM, the food vessels had just been delivered, but due to the heat, the staff were visibly sweating, and it felt unhygienic—almost as if the sweat could end up in the food.

Moreover, the general cleanliness of the shop and the food preparation area was concerning. Despite the high volume of sales, it’s clear that hygiene is not a priority here. I ordered briyani via swiggy today and the delivery guy didn't reach the shop even after 1 hour time after I placed the order then I went to the shop directly to check abt the same.. There is a supervisor🤯 who is very impatient and sounds like he is having piles issue and not even bother about my issue (even I ordered through swiggy, there should be some basic level patience to understand customer issue)... and other hand, food tastes so worst and it was like tomato rice with chicken/mutton pieces... My kind request to shop owner... Pls shut the shop and leave way for good briyani vendors so they can serve some good food in that place.. also i heard that Salem RR Briyani cooks food in common kitchen and serves food across shops in one of it's owner interview... Just wondering how this shop/brand becomes so popular with these kind of worst foods...

Salem RR biriyani is located at valasaravakkam Arcot Road. It's a very famous restaurant for Biriyani for their taste and quantity. Person like me who eats with a limit, then it could be shared to three persons, normally 1 package of Biriyani will be comfortable for 2 persons, with a satisfaction, if not stress over taken. The smell and taste still triggers the taste buds. The entrance is already small, in that parcel persons and packaging persons take half of the entrance, you can just sneek inside the restaurant, you have to pay first then get your parcel.
