to get a parcel consisting of chapati, vadacurry, idly, and bhelpuri. While waiting in the designated area near the billing section, I noticed that the chat preparation area was completely visible.
To my shock, there were two staff members preparing orders in the chat section, neither of whom were wearing gloves. One of them was even scratching his nose, mustache, and hands frequently while handling the food. Concerned about the hygiene, I reported this to the person at the billing counter and requested to cancel the bhelpuri. While they refunded ₹74 for it, there was no apology, no escalation to a supervisor, and no visible corrective action.
Even after raising this issue, the staff in the chat preparation area continued to prepare food with bare hands, showing complete disregard for hygiene and customer feedback. When I received the rest of my order, I asked the billing staff if my complaint would be addressed, but there was no assurance.
I even compromised myself initially that it is acceptable that preparing food with bare hands can be acceptable if hygiene standards like trimmed nails and frequent handwashing are maintained.
( Before witnessing such unhygienic behavior)
However, the staff’s behavior and the lack of hospitality, hygiene, and responsibility from the management are appalling.
If this is what I observed in a visible area, I dread to think about the hygiene in the kitchen and other unseen sections. This experience raises serious concerns about food safety at this establishment.
Hospitality: 0/5 Hygiene: 0/5 Responsibility: 0/5
I hope the management takes these complaints seriously and ensures better standards in the future.
And I hope none of the Customers suffered from...

Read moreWe went to this outlet after finishing our temple Darshan.
Good ambience and facilities.
We ordered - Poori, Sambar Vada, Ghee Roast, Mini Tiffin. While Poori was served with a Kurma and kizhangu, rest of the items were served with Sambar and different types of chutneys. Chutneys were typical of a south indian restaurant. I loved the Kara chutney or Poondu Chutney. Very nicely prepared. Even the other chutneys were quite ok. From a mini Tiffin perspective, they differ different combos..and would be sufficient for a person. They can taste almost everything and quantity is also decent.
However I felt the pricing to be on the higher side. Coffee and Tea alone - for the quantity they serve is priced at 55 and 50 or so.
Good service overall. They dint push you out - typical of many restaurants these days, due to the crowd.
While the food is decent and am a fan of the Old Sangeetha, would probably think few times about the pricing, before I check in to...
