Last night, I had the wonderful opportunity to visit Taj Restaurant, a popular and well-known place in my city. I had heard many great things about the food and service, so I was excited to experience it myself. I went there with my family on a Sunday evening, and it turned out to be one of the most memorable food experiences I’ve ever had.
As soon as we entered the restaurant, I was impressed by the elegant interior. The warm lighting, traditional Indian décor, and soft instrumental music created a calm and welcoming atmosphere. The staff greeted us politely and guided us to a comfortable table near the window. The menu was beautifully designed and had a wide variety of dishes—both vegetarian and non-vegetarian, including Indian, Mughlai, Chinese, and continental cuisines.
Since we were all very hungry and curious to try everything, we decided to order a little bit of everything. We began with the starters, which included Paneer Tikka, Chicken Malai Tikka, Hara Bhara Kabab, and Mutton Seekh Kebabs. Every bite was bursting with flavor—the paneer was soft and smoky, the chicken was creamy and perfectly cooked, and the kebabs were spicy and tender.
Next came the main course, where we truly went all out. We ordered Butter Chicken, Paneer Butter Masala, Dal Makhani, Rogan Josh, and Kadhai Vegetable. Along with this, we had a basket of assorted breads—Butter Naan, Garlic Naan, and Tandoori Roti. Each dish had its own unique taste. The Butter Chicken was rich and creamy, the Dal Makhani was slow-cooked to perfection, and the Rogan Josh had a deep, spicy flavor that stayed on the tongue. The naan was soft and buttery, making it the perfect companion to every curry.
We also tried a few rice dishes like Biryani, Jeera Rice, and Veg Pulao. The biryani was full of fragrant spices and served with cooling raita. By now, we were getting full, but we couldn’t leave without trying the desserts. We ordered Gulab Jamun, Rasmalai, and a Sizzling Brownie with Ice Cream. Each dessert was rich and satisfying, especially the sizzling brownie—it was warm, chocolaty, and paired perfectly with vanilla ice cream.
The service throughout the evening was excellent. The waiters were attentive, well-dressed, and quick to respond to any request. Our table was always clean, and our water glasses were never empty.
By the end of the meal, we were all full and happy. Visiting Taj Restaurant was not just about eating—it felt like a royal dining experience. The quality of the food, the peaceful environment, and the outstanding service made it a place I would love to return to again. If you are someone who enjoys exploring different flavors and wants to experience traditional Indian hospitality, I highly recommend visiting Taj Restaurant. Read moreTaj restaurant is used to be one of the nice and budget friendly multi cuisine restaurants near to my place and I’ve been to this restaurant for multiple times. Like wise, yesterday night (14/08/2024) also I went to Taj restaurant with my friends for a dinner. But suprisingly the food taste are not upto the mark which we used to ate before. All the food items are rich in oil. Many dishes tasted pathetic. Especially the Schezwan chiken fried rice we ordered. Its very worst. Also the biriyani they served is not a fresh one. They just heated the excess briyani from that day afternoon and served at afternoon. The same review goes to vegetarian also. If some one planning to go to have team food here please avoid it.
Some of the foods we tried
Mixed veg noodles ( Average taste, they poured more oil and the smell is also not ok) Mushroom manchurian dry ( Quantity is less compared to before and they just added more masala and made it not eatable) Honey chicken ( one of my friend’s favourite at this restaurant but yesterday they spoiled this too) Schezwan chicken fried rice ( i can say its a red chilli rice...
