I went to dindigul so i searched which is the right shop to have dinner. It shows this selvam restaurant also with other hotels. Based on some review we just went there. As per the review yes kari dosai is good but not extraodinary. But other things like gravy, naatu kozhi chicken fry, set parota(what they use to call) we had all but i feel so bad after eating this no correct salt in anything, even there is no smell of any karam masala, you cant feel anything what you are eating. If u r really a non veg freak want eat spicy non veg food i wont prefer this hotel. And then on d way i asked the auto driver anna coz may be we don't like dindigul taste as iam a visitor to dindigul. So i asked him he said yes sir that shop was good in past years not now the same comment he told us. Iam not against anyone in dindigul or iam against any shop.as iam a traveller i use to explore new food where ever iam going. Iam a food freak too. We should have some satisfaction even after eating in smalla road street also. But i felt so bad tat day... Another thing the price omg man if the taste is really good we can pay more amount also.

Extremely Spicy & make sure you test your threshold before you start eating. Quite crowded during the lunch time and usually the service would be slow due to the overwhelming number of customers ordering ahead. You’d easily spend at least 45 min to 1 hr for any meal.
Dine in and parcel for Lunch starts at 1:15 pm & goes till evening and at 7:15 it starts again for Dinner. Quite congested in the ground floor and seating is available in 1st floor too.
Meals served with couple of Vegetables and Butter milk along with Non Veg gravy, Sambar & Rasam. Meals Parcel at Rs.100. Only country chicken & its gravy would be available at Lunch hours. Rs.150 per plate.
At evening, broiler chicken & its gravy served. Rs. 100 per plate. Quantity wouldn’t suffice, if you’re a food lover you should try 2 plates.
Average spends of Rs. 400 for a completely satisfying meal. Don't miss the Chicken Dosa and Country Chicken, their signature dishes.
No Meal coupon or Card Payments available. Cash is the preferred mode of payment.
The Management should look at an alternate for the boxes given for the parcel as hot gravy/sambhar is given in plastic boxes which might cause serious...
Read moreI wanted to relive childhood nostalgia by ordering some favorite dishes from them, but by Sunday evening they were done for the evening, could just order the "set parotta" and everything else was over, even parottas. I personally found the price of 70 rupees for that little portion quite high, they charge extra for the boxes that come with curries in it, no paper bags but cloth bags which they charge 10 rupees each. There's very little space to dine in, you have to wait to get someone's attention to ask if they have what you want otherwise they'll all be quiet unbothered in their own universes. I would recommend people to shred their parottas and soak em in curries to make their own "sets" instead of bothering themselves with a trip...
