I saw too many good reviews about Nithyas Bake lab in internet and decided to order 1st birthday cake for my daughter. The communications with Nithya was happening even before 1 month from the date of event. She maintained professionalism and was kind enough to answer all my queries. Even before my daughter's birthday, I had my brother's birthday birthday coming in, so ordered a Jamun cake with rose petals and taste was great. I have shared the same feedback with Nithya

For my daughter's birthday, I had ordered a animal theme cake (1st tier - Red velvet; 2nd tier - Blueberry chocolate). I requested Nithya to deliver the cake thru her delivery partner to ensure that the cake does not get damaged during the delivery if I do a self pickup or thru Uber. She promised that the cake will not be damaged if the delivery is via them and I had to pay little more than what I pay for Uber/Ola. However, during the time of delivery, I found that the cake was damaged on top layer, where one of the animal fondant fell on the top layer of the cake and damaged it. The driver confirmed this at the time of delivery. I ignored it cos I was confident that her cake taste will make me forget this. I didn't even report this to Nithya initially.

After the cake cutting, to our surprise, the cake taste was horrible. The blueberry cake did not even have required filings. It tasted like regular vanilla cake. The bottom red velvet was the worst red velvet I had in my life. It tasted like it was 2-3 days old. It was soggy inside and the texture was like play-doh.

When I reported this to Nithya , she became too defensive and started arguing that her other clients never say this and she aslo claimed that I am so used to eat only bakery cakes and not cakes of this quality. Whatever I say, she was comparing me with her other clients. When I reported that the cake was also damaged during the delivery, she said her driver won't lie to her. When I asked her to do a conference call with the driver she denied that the he is a regular driver and she cannot do that as it would spoil the relationship.

I had a pending of Rs 2950 that I should transfer to her post the delivery of cake. After all these mess, I still transferred the amount as it won't look gentle on my part. Nithya then said(whatsapp) at 8:07 PM that she will refund 2000 rs as it not their policy to leave the customer unhappy. I was not even asking for refund by that time. She pretended as if she was refunding the amount via Gpay and sent me a screenshot that it didn't go through. I still I didn't say anything as it was her own decision to refund money. By this time, I shared the cake with the needy ppl on the roadside. At 8:49 PM she pinged again and asked me to return the cake tomorrow as she will check the cake and refund the amount. I was clueless. I transferred my balance genuinely, she said she will do a refund and all of a sudden she was asking the cake back. Had I thought, I would have stopped the pending payment after tasting the cake.

The day when I asked refund was when she placed my cake (which was horrible) in her whatsapp status for promoting her work to others. I was already down with the quality of cake that was given for my daughter's birthday and Nithya was trying to make money out of it. This is cruel.

When I asked her to return my money, she is asking for the cake now which was over 2 days back. She kept saying that all other clients are happy and I am the one who is unhappy. I asked her not to speak about other clients to me cos they didn't pay for my cake and they don't know the disappointment I faced. For this, she asked me not to disrespect her clients. I seriously donno then whom I am here. Talking about happy clients to unhappy client is unethical..

When she was so happy to get a positive cake for my first order ( Brother's cake ) , she became defensive and started arguing when the quality of the cake was horrible.

My question is, if a baker does a bad job, don't we consumers have the right to be disappointed with them and ask for refund if they are...

Well, birthdays are meant to be the happiest day of an individual, however, during this lockdown we didn't want to put down our friend's bday as well.. During this tough times, we hardly can buy a cake but guess what, miracle does happen.. Yes, this greatest momma of two infant kids, wonderful wife, an inspiration to other women's out there just broke our trust issues in terms of a bday cake and hygiene.. She was a saviour, she just asked me the flavor and theme, two days later, guess what it came out so appropriate as I imagined.. Your creativity is mind-blowing as well.. I literally got craved by seeing your posts and badly wanted to taste it and yes I am regretting for not tasting it beforehand.. She takes each and every order so passionately and does it with all love, which may be the reason for it come out well and taste so good. I wanted to write to you personally to thank you for being an amazing artist and human being! That was literally the best cake I have seen and tasted!! You were very kind to accomodate a dual flavor at the last minute. I love the design and you did such a fantastic job with arranging the miniature bottle on top of it! It was stunning and perfect and I couldn't have been more happy with your creation and the overall experience of working with you.Your cake was a BIG HIT with everyone.. the flavour, the taste, everything about it... amazing!!So many of our friends kept on repeatedly mentioning their love of that cake -- how they had never tasted a cake like that and how it was so beautiful it was hard to believe it was a real cake!! At the end of the day, we never had any leftovers as we all had it as our late dinner, so none got wasted! Obviously!! The price, I don't wanna comment on it cos it's worth the money and you will not regret cos it's finger lickin good. Way to go, proud of you. I have already recommended you in various platforms and people I know, you deserve it. 👏 Guys, just give it a try, she is kind, she is flexible, she is passionate, she is professional, she is awesome and her cakes will prove you what I'm talking about.. IT'S FINGER...

The atmosphere was so nice... Nithya is so kind and patience while teaching the class .... she watched each ans everyone and corrected the mistake.. and asked to try. She wants everyone to be perfect in baking.. she approached in the same way... always see the smiling in her face... The day and the space is not enough to review her class.. One of the blessed day in my life is 12.12.20. I attended the baking class... God bless her and family with lots of happiness and health

Hi Nithya, Its give me an immense pleasure to write the review again. I attended the class second time.But whatever you taught us is absolute new things with new recipe. Osmania cookies,buttercream frosting with stencils and how to use flowers This time we have more time to clarify more doubts. Eventhough I asked more doubts beyond the syllabus you are sincerely clear all my doubts.. Cookies, cupcakes and chocolate cake taste too good.Thank you for sharing your true recipes. Thank you so much because I felt that I am good Baker.. it's all your effort to make me to feel...Thank you once again for your patience in teaching. May God give you strength to achieve more...
