A bit off the road, and to the side of the subway, this place is relatively hard to reach. You can park two wheelers outside the shop, but not for long. A total no no for 3 wheelers upwards as you can't even turn into this side road. That said, the shop does brisk business in samosas, kachoris, puris, channa and all sorts of chat items. Excellent Place for Chats and Sweet. The Choice of Sweets is limited to Jalebi, Milk Sweet, Gulab Jamoon and Carrot Halwa. But they are served Hot and Fresh and Tasty.

The Chats (Samosa Chat and Bhel Puri) and Snacks (Samosa and Kachori) are of nice quality. I love the Chats here especially for the reason they have Peas like Bangalore whereas mostly all Chat Shops at Chennai have only Channa. Hence I love this Place. But I couldn't get the Traditional Masala Puri (Small Puris with Peas Masala). Here they call it Sundal.

I have been a customer of this shop for more than 35+ years. It was a small shop in thallu vandi near a parking area in St.Thomas.Mount railway station. Now they have developed and have a shop on their own. The taste is the same and lingers in our mouth as good as the old one. Their secret is they are the only place who uses white pattani for sundal and that makes a lot of difference. I have tasted samosa sundal elsewhere but they cannot match with Agarwal's sundal.
