Swamy Cafe — Restaurant in Zone 12 Alandur

We saw a video of this cafe on the YouTube, and we were very impressed with it in many ways. Decided we will visit this cafe to see how is our real time experience.

We drove our bike slow and steady and reached the cafe, which is in very tight congested market / living place. Hence parking for 2 wheeler only, that too on the road and if you are lucky then parking can be close to the cafe.

As we entered the cafe, we found it was very compact, small, neat, clean, brightly lit. Dinning area had about 6 tables, comfortably placed.

The staff were very friendly, polite, helpful and the service was fast too. We ordered idlly, dosa, parota, idiappam etc for our dinner.

Except for the sambar which was bit hot (chilli wise), the rest of the food items and the side dish were very good and we enjoyed it.

Cost of wise am not sure where to place them, because in today's cost of living it is very difficult to judge that.

Definitely we enjoyed our visit and our dinner. If you guys are in the near about area may be you can...

It's the best cafe. Food here is of good quality and at a nominal price. Idlis and dosa varieties are good. They are accompanied by 3 varieties of chutney and sambar.

Special dosas that are offered for the day are ok, they are bit on the spicy region.

Adai avial, Idiyappam & Parotta kurma, are really good.

Dining area is very small, just 8 tables with each can accommodate 4 people. Place is tidy and clean. Most of the tables would be occupied at any given time, couple of seats would be available at any given time, if 4 PPL then have to wait for few mins.

Service is quick and excellent. If visiting around 8:30 pm one might miss idlis...

Randomly visited as roamed in this area .. Was looking some fine vegetation restaurants and found this .. tried meals alone .. need to get token for meals before you get seat.. Three types of veggies all are top class.. Followed by white rice sambar vathakulambu rasam buttermilk and pappad.. Curd and sweet will also be served .. It was a very small restaurant seating capacity of 16 to 20 at minimal space.. Absolutely good the food and their quality .. It costs 90 INT for limited meal.. would say it is sufficient to fill tummy .. Will visit again to taste their...
