Hotel Vijayetha — Hotel in Tamil Nadu

Location: The place was not far from the city prime areas though it is not in the center meaning relatively better traffic. There is limited basement car parking with ability to park about 8 cars. Other guests had parked on the road.|| ||Property: The hotel seems bit old\ needing rework from the reception area & entrance. Two lifts at different location reaching different floor heights, etc indicate this building was incrementally constructed. || ||Check-In: The check-in was bit slow considering that i had done online booking with full payment. The staff were slow in handling the guests arriving but were providing required support to ensure you find staff support to reach your room with luggage assistance. || ||Rooms: The 2 rooms we used were spacious but realize they had completely different layout. One had balcony other had windows facing wall & no balcony. One had a entry area whereas other directly lead to the room. The rooms were good & clean. Inadequate pillows but extra were provided on request. Appreciate that they provided hair oil & talcum powder in the kit for stay. Also, the two full sized mirrors were a bonus.|| ||Restaurant: The food was average south Indian food (Pongal, Idli, dosa, omlette, boiled egg, salad, etc) but have to appreciate the manager who was around to support us during breakfast. He was attentive & ensured guests were promptly attended for needs. Serving time of breakfast post 8 AM was quite late & we had to plan activities accordingly. || ||Issues: The toilet sprinkler was leaky & steel rack to place towels in bath were badly placed that you can hit your head on it if careless. There was a bathtub but no curtains resulting in water spilling all over during shower!! A\C stabilizer was placed within cupboard... I found it dangerous for kid to poke around. || ||Overall: This is a well located decent hotel, realize that there are very few good hotels in this area & this is amongst the better ones. Had a decent and memorable dining experience at Hotel Vijayetha. Both staircase as well as elevator facilities are available to reach the restaurant at the top. The dining area is spacious enough and is well maintained at all times. The main highlight of this restaurant is its consistency in serving great food. Wide variety of dishes listed in the Menu Card will definitely tempt you to taste it all. The staffs here are polite and well behaved. Hygiene level and cleanliness of washrooms has to be improved a lot. Apart from your restaurant experience, there would definitely be a constant feeling within you that Hotel Vijayetha as a whole has to concentrate more on its maintenance to give a better feel to...

▪️The decor and ambience is decent though. ▪️ Vijayetha special Chicken was too spicy and tasty as well. Mughalai Biriyani was flavourful with right amount of spices. ▪️The quantity of food was beyond our imagination. The size of naan was like eating big pizza. ⛔️Schezwan Mutton Fried Rice spoiled the show. Upon single bite, we felt pungent smell from the mutton and it remained untouched. ⛔️And when we complained, The manager was reluctant saying the mutton was fresh and charged it in bill. When we decided to file a complaint and asked for the parcel, they said they have discarded it and discounted it from the total amount.
