We went for a dinner buffet after couple of failed attempts because it felt unconventional/doubtful about the quality of buffet in a sweet shop where It's USP some thing else. The crowd was very less even less then the waiters. The ambience and interior was nice and very retro in design. To start with the veg cream soup which is very good and perfect in all aspects. Then we went for sweet Boli which is very nice and crisp and then the Kara Boli which is like a Podi topped Parota. The Fried rice was nice along with veg kadai they provide. In Buffer you also get four types of Dosa with accompaniments which is normal and additionally you get Nan or Roti. The down side is their fried idli made of left over. You will also good Sambar rice, Gobi fry, curd rice and ice cream. Over all I would say it's mixed package in terms of taste and items served. But at this price point Rs. 220 I would consider this as a value for money. If they want to increase the foot fall they need to relook at the...
Read moreI have visited this place "n" number of times. Whenever we go here we get a better experience. First time when we visited they served us pasta varieties along with south indian specials. Then they stopped the restaurant service. Again they started with tiffin varieties like dosas, idlis, amani kozhukkattai, upma kozhukkattai, sweet and spicy polis etc with hot coffee. Now, they are providing food in elai or banana leaf. Whenever we go they are serving in banana leaf just like served in weddings and other functions. Today we had Idlies, masala dosa and one plain dosa. They sambar, coconut chutney and tomato chutney. The tomato chutney was slightly spicy. But, both sambar and coconut chutney were out of the world. I completed the dinner with a cup of hot milk. It was really a great dinner. Simple place to eat...
Read moreGot elaneer payasam along with a host of other sweets on the 9th Nov evening. I noticed nothing was fresh here other than the freshly made poli. Even that I have no clue about the number of days they had that poli batter in the fridge. The sweets ( Badam mysoorpa and karupatti katti)were almost five days old. Sadly I noticed all the dates of manufacture only after sipping the stale elaneer payasam. I just hope rest of the sweets are not stale as I haven’t tried them yet as I type this. We buy in such shops assuming they are good and clean. But no excuse for selling stale food. They are not trust worthy anymore. Nevertheless, this is the last time I buy from this shop and will not recommend this shop. (Or Krishna sweets rather! This is the second time I’ve had a bad experience with...
