I was one of the first customers in here. Until close to 7 month back. I have completely stopped any interaction with this business.
For two specific reasons. I had parked my car and the same had suffered a damage. During that time there was no watchman and staff. I know, parking at own risk is the standard line, so is my intent to support the management with business.
While reciving our order for chicken 65we had found some hair and sand particles.
Rooms are compact. Service is a variable element, the only thing this place as going for it is the location. As more business come up, that too will diminish.

Visited this place in lockdown of covid19. Had placed an order for takeaway food. Never knew a chicken had so many bones. Had ordered for Chicken 65, I believe it needs to be renamed to Chickenbone 65 or Bone 65.
Visited this place today. It is sad to see, 7 tables having customers and only one person to attend to. The manager does no leave his front desk despite of no guest walk in no phone calls and one steward is definitely is a over kill to attend 7 tables. If the manager is unable to understand that, wonder what the above management is doing. Pity the single guy.
A hotel that is placed currently in the middle of no where. I can clearly see the pain that the staff need to endure everyday in transit from home to work.

I was in Kalyan Grand two times, in total spent 18 nights. With previous experience in India, this hotel was very nice surprise in many ways.||From first contact, everything was very clear and easy to arrange. Picking up from airport till check-in and check-out.||Rooms are with enough space, light and clean with all necessary accessories.||Restaurant is very clean with mainly Indian food, but also you can find something in according with European taste. If you are so selective in food you can ask from stuff to prepare meal without Indian spices (I personaly prefer their spices, but my colleagues don't). For breakfast you can find toast, butter, eggs prepared on various ways, yogurt, milk etc., but in any case I recommend to also taste Indian dishes. Same story was also for dinner. For sure you will not be hungry in this hotel.||My advice is to come on meal on the beginning of meal time, because hotel is always full and sometimes you maybe need to wait few moments till stuff clean and prepare table or refill dishes.||Stuff is nice and polite. Receptionists speak English well and if you need something, it is quite ok to ask them, just leave enough time for satisfy your reasonable request. |In restaurant, stuff don't speak English as well as reception, but enough to satisfy your needs.||Hotel work as clock. If someone can't solve your problem, immediately will call someone who can. You just need to ask or tell. Hotel have possibility to arrange transportation with reasonable prices and this service is my warm recommendation. Especially if you wish to go in downtown to see or buy something. Hotel is on good location, on the road and all parts of Chennai is easy to reach by car. Near hotel is Zoo. Very nice to visit, but go there with the car, even it is very close.||Hotel has independent bar, where you can spent free time with beer and snack, but also you can order food, wine or soft drinks. Bar has smoking area. Recommendation for bar staff is to spent more time for cleaning of smoking area.||Generally speaking about India, from European point of view, everything is big, far and slow, so make good organization and don't do anything in the last moment.||At the end, Kalyan Grand is right choice for business base in Chennai, with quality service, nice and polite stuff and fair rates. Read moreI am sharing my worst experience which i had faced in the Hotel. This was not my official trip but for my personal trip along family. They have not provided any discounts to local residence persons, but they are concentrating on the business trip this showing partiality of handling the customers. they should treat every customer equally. Those who are coming personal trip on this hotel paying the full amount but the business trip only getting the discount and paying around 2000 only.
Regarding the Service Iam not happy the way of approach and tired of calling Housekeeping and Maintenance for help. Every time called Reception and i did not getting convinced me by their answers. visited two times to this hotel and spent for 5 days. Due to Cyclone i was insisted to extend my days of staying. During that day i went out for personal work, the hotel receptionist kept on calling me to pay the pending amount of 9500K for room extension since i paid the advance amount of 13500. This approach made me feel bad "How much they trust and treat their customers." We decided not to visit this Hotel in future at any cost.

Wi-Fi is totally down, and they are not able to provide the fast network service. we complained them but the answer was very strange by Receptionist. we have been asked to visit the reception instead to visit the customer place to fix the Network issue. Finally, i used my Mobile data to finish my work.
One more thing we would like to highlight, The TV and DTH was Not working from the day one. unfortunately, we did not aware about the Cyclone. but luckily it was informed by friend about this cyclone. so, we have extended the room for one day and shouted the hotel Receptionist to activate the DTH TV immediately. The maintenance guy came to our room and noted down the DTH NO and went off after our second reminder they came to activate the TV by the time we left the hotel.
