Read moreStopped here for Lunch while travelling from Valparai to Chennai. Its 3km from the dindigul trichy highway. Roads leading are somewhat narrow. Reached at 2.30 pm finding a parking spot was difficult. The security helped us to park in nearby road. Ordered Mutton biryani - Just wow. The quantity of mutton pieces were shockingly huge. Taste wise mind blowing. No irritants and dark brown biryani. Best part they have 1/2 and 1/4 biryani option . So if ur not satisfied with a full plate but dont have appetite for another u can still order a 1/4th plate which suprisingly has lot of mutton pieces too.
Mutton Nalli Dalcha- This is a free item served with the biryani. I never imagined dalcha could taste this taste . And everytime they served me dalcha it came with a nalli piece and mutton leg piece portion. You would be offered multiple times and everytime there would be a piece or two. So if u shy this is still a place to satiate ur biriyani cravings.
The biryani comes with Onion raita, rasam, curd , chikcen kulumbo, mutton kulumbo unlimited. U can also order for a portion of white rice.
Biriyani along its free side dishes is enough but i also ordered few side dishes mutton chukka , Chicken leg fry, prawn pepper fry and mutton kola urundai.
Prawn pepper fry i didnt like. It was totally a different dish than what i expected. It was chewy , over fried and a lil bitter due to over frying.
Chicken leg fry was good.
Mutton chuka had a little gravy in it. Taste was good but i expected my chukka to be dry fry kind on basis of other experience at other eateries.
Mutton Kola was awesome
Piece of advise stick to biryani, side dishes are just waste of money , not that they are bad but biryani is so tasty that u cant enjoy the side dishes.
Service - top notch. Helped with ordering food, made sure we had water to drink, if we need extra servings and any other order. Specially took care of dad food as he wanted to have rice. They served rice with sambhar and some veg side dishes and hot water on asking. Special mention to made of old lady who moves from table to table to offer the free sides which comes with biryani. If you say she would insist you like your grandmother . ❤️❤️❤️ Loved my experience , hospitality and food here. All the reviews are true and this is my bit penned down for others to read and...

If you are from other cities and reading this, checking whether to try Venu Dindigul Briyani,Please Don't! Go for 'Ponram', 'Aachies' or 'Siva' They don't compromise on quality. And they have a good/decent atmosphere. You can have your money spent on good food.
We went to Valentine's day Dinner in Venu Hotel. It was an awful experience.
We ordered Chicken tikka from their menu. What came was surprising. It's deep fried pieces of chicken poked in a toothpick with a piece of capsicum and onion. The worst part of that was there is barely any salt or other masalas coated in the chicken. It felt like eating a plain piece of deep fried chicken. We informed the waiter about this. But he didn't even respond and ignored us. All we asked for was some salt to sprinkle on it. So we ended up cancelling it
Kari Dosa was another 'Thuyaram'! I started eating it from the edges as we all do. It barely had any 'dosa mavu' in it, it tasted like the meat was put up on a big omelette. Only at the center there was some batter and it was not cooked! And the coconut chutney was spoiled. We were fed up that we didn't even inform them. Because we knew their response!
Apart from this the 'only good thing' is their briyani. The kurma they gave for it was chilled. They don't even keep it warm. We can't find such cold kurmas even in small shops.
Overall it's the worst place to spend time or money. Very limited menu. I would appreciate it if they can provide it without compromising on quality. Unclean washing places, unclean tables and all. Literally it would give the feel of an old bus stand. And we never thought Venu would become this worse. We should have gone for any 'thallu vandi kadai'. At least there you can have for...
