Visit Date 4 December 2024 - One of the most horrible experience one could have during their visit to a restaurant. I am sure after this review the respective hotel managers or team would not even attempt to call and understand the issue.
Despite booking the table and mentioning the occasion of the visit the staff was clueless of the booking details, neither they were prepared for the setup of the table nor they had any idea why the visit was at the restaurant.
Each dish server took almost 30-40 mins which is unacceptable considering the dish that was ordered. Not worth the price they are charging for the food and services. The dish which we wanted to have that day was ordered and told in advance that it would take 15-20 mins which we agreed and after 45mins of waiting the staff member comes and says shall i clear the table and get the bill.
After me giving a look at him and asking him what about the dish i ordered 45mins ago he was clueless what's the status of it and later said he forget to tell the chef and was expecting us to wait for another 25mins for the dish to be served.
When further raised my voice explaining the horrible experience i had along with my wife and the service they have been giving they came back compensating stating we have taken off the mocktails from the bill and it's on the house.
Before we left they got a muffin size cafe stating happy anniversary which was the most disappointing experience as there was no arrangement done even after making special request. The staff not being well trainered or busy serving to the tables where expensive dishes and drinks were being ordered and not paying attention the order was being given.
Shameless acting by the entire staff and the manager didn't even had courtesy to make up for the mess he and his team made.

Since it was a special occasion for us we planned to visit again to celebrate our 15th anniversary. We made reservations along with advance payments to the book table and asked to provide a good table with basic decoration. We are advised that they will try to provide a complimentary anniversary cake. Here is my feedback and spoiler celebration:

We asked for a specific cocktail, to which bartender did not have any interest in serving. I have to explain to him what 5 want in my drink..
We took a mix of Ala carts and a set course meal.. for the main course served with just fried rice with no side. I had to specifically ask for the side to which I am served with dry schezwan paste and then someone game with chili garlic sauce after I was done with my rice. Really inhave Tonasket for it in 5 star?
They never served the dessert part of the set course meal, nor did neither come up with cake. Really did not even feel like asking for it.
We have to keep them reminding to bring serving plates. Every time a dish come, they would just keep on the table and stand, and we have to ask for a plate.
We asked for a water bottle, and the lady came and just kept it on the table, not even asking if we would like it to be served. We expect basic service, right?
The mosquitoes were all.around and many a times we have to ask for placing repellents. Which they manage to place. After an hour.
The price for food I won't mind mind if you can give a basic service and ambiance. It was such a spoiler evening. We specifically chose the place for ambiance and service for our day, and it was completely a spoiler.
We expect little more service and food if we are paying you specifically if we choose your place for our special day. Never visiting...
Read moreRating: ★☆☆☆☆ Our recent visit to Mist - The Poolside Kitchen at Golconda Resort turned out to be an absolute disappointment, especially considering it was supposed to be a special birthday celebration. The hospitality and service were far below the standards one would expect from a supposed four-star establishment.
After an enjoyable evening with our party of ten guests, the end of our celebration was marred by the restaurant's behavior. Despite having settled our bill of approximately 12.8k through Zomato, we were made to wait an unnecessary 20 minutes. This wait was because Sudip and his manager Ranjith( didn’t even answered our call) insisted they couldn’t accept our payment through zomato which was already paid by that time . This was particularly embarrassing as we stood waiting with our guests, tarnishing the joyful mood of the evening.
Adding to our frustration, we were reminded of a prior unpleasant experience at the resort last month, where we were promised better service and an extra discount on our next visit. Although this discount was reflected in our bill, it seems the staff had no intention of honoring it. We were forced to pay back the 15% of the discount that hotel has provided, which felt like a blatant disregard for their earlier promises. We paid back 2000 in cash . We also tipped the staff with 1000 when the bill is paid saying we don’t want any discount or favour from such a hotel where customer are embarrassed.
This experience has left a sour taste, and despite tipping the staff, their behavior and handling of the situation were unacceptable. For a place that markets itself as a four-star hotel, the lack of professionalism and courtesy is shocking. Mist - The Poolside Kitchen does not deserve even a one-star rating for their hospitality.
