Norfest - The Dhaba Kokapet — Restaurant in Telangana

Part of Norfest Dhaba Chain, this restaurant opened around a couple of months back. The building in which it is located still seem to be bit under construction with the approach road also being revamped. Parking though is easy as there is ample space outside the building.

Ambience is ethnic with Dhaba theme and with different cool cutouts being placed across the restaurant. There is a Bullet placed in the restaurant along with the a car with Sholay poster at the back. Reminds of old school setup.

We ordered our all time fav Non-veg and Veg Thalis and it did not disappoint. The portions were ample with pretty good taste. Found the quantity much more than what Norfest gives for online order.

Norfest has a chain of restaurants in Hyderabad now and they maintain pretty consistent taste across outlets. The one in Kokapet is no exception. They have a pretty decent North Indian menu with a slightly Rajasthani touch. Ambience is an attempt to give a 'line hotel' feel with ethnic decor, furniture and a filmy look. The kebab platter was more than acceptable. We went for a special thali which was sumptuous. Dal Makhani was the highlight of the thali though the kesar kheer and paneer curry was not disappointing either. And the price was very reasonable with ~2800...
