Disappointing Experience with Swiss Castle Bakery, Gandipet via Zomato

We've been loyal customers of Swiss Castle Bakery at ECIL for over 15 years and have always loved their fresh, delicious pastries. However, our recent experience with the Gandipet branch was a big letdown.

We ordered a pineapple pastry and a red forest pastry, and both were extremely disappointing. The pineapple pastry was completely bland, lacking the usual flavor and freshness. The red forest pastry was even worse—it had a paste-like consistency, nowhere near the texture of a proper cake. Both pastries tasted like they were days old, far from the fresh quality we expected.

We’ve always trusted Swiss Castle Bakery for quality, but this experience from the Gandipet branch was shocking. Such a stark difference from the ECIL branch, which never failed us before. We hope the bakery takes this feedback seriously and ensures better quality...

Good bakery but name is a bit misleading

I don't know why they named it so, but most of the menu is regular and surprisingly a lot of desi stuff.

You'll find namkeen, desi snacks and savouries like samosa, laddu, chikki, boondi, papad, mysore pak, bread toast etc.

Liked their pastries, good quality, not too sweet.

Pineapple pastry, Mexican pastry were good biscoff was average.

Garlic bread toast and pan pizza are yummy.

Onion samosa was okay.

Overall a good joint for snacks and dessert, specially pastries. But you'll be surprised by the choice of desi namkeen...

A very good bakery. It is a pure veg bakery. You don’t even get egg puff. The cakes are delicious. You get sweets, cakes, bread, veg puff, namkeen and such other stuff. Swiss castle is notes bakery having outlets all over the city. I have been to two of them, one in madhapur and another Banjara Hills. The one at Banjara Hills is biggest while one in Kokapet is new but very neat. However they don’t have cool drinks. They have their own like badam milk and similar. The cakes are best here.
