Tl;dr: I know bbq nation won't bother about this review, but this review is a warning for customers to not order through the bbq nation app. Bbq nation won't take responsibility for delivery or timely delivery (though it is part of the paid service in the app) and even after spending money and effort, customers will get only cold food to eat or serve.

I had ordered for 20 premium veg thalis to be delivered to my home on the 9th of July through the barbecue nation app from their Kandivali East outlet. As per options available in the app, I had chosen the delivery time of 12.30 - 1 pm. This review is for the app.

Though the food was ready well within time, the food was delivered at 1.50 pm, fifty minutes beyond the delivery time.

When I connected to customer care through the app, I was told that delivery is managed by 3rd party and I need to contact Zomato! I had not even placed my order through Zomato. Bbq nation just washed their hands off the delivery.

Finally when the Zomato delivery guy contacted me saying only two people have been assigned to deliver 20 thalis, which is not possible, especially in the Mumbai rain, i requested them to get an auto rickshaw and manage the delivery. The two delivery guy went well beyond their job responsibilities to hire an auto rickshaw and bring the bulk order to my home (my heartfelt gratitude for them, plus I was so amazed and inspired to see their sincerity for their job, great humans). They even persuaded Zomato to pay for the auto rickshaw fare, so that the delivery was free for me.

But while two delivery staff moved heaven and earth to deliver the food, the mighty but inefficient organisation of BBQ nation showed only indifference, and didn't take any responsibility for a service which they had promised their customer through their app. Needless to say, the food was lukewarm after it was delivered (thankfully not cold, and the food was still appreciated) ...but after paying so much, i didn't want to serve just lukewarm food. And it was all because of mismanagement of BBQ nation.

If bbq nation cannot take care of the delivery, they should not promise a delivery service. Box 8 does an amazing job of delivering bulk food to home in Mumbai.

It's okay to use a third party to deliver, but that doesn't mean that Zomato has no responsibility in this part of the job, especially since there was no transparency about this when taking the order and the payment, and promising the delivery between 13.30-1 pm. I paid bbq nation, and i expected bbq nation to fulfill the entire job...if they used a third party, they should take responsibility for the management of the third party too..the customer care i connected through the bbq nation app outright told me that they cannot do anything. And the 20 thalis, which was supposed to be delivered between 12.30-1 pm, and which were ready by 12.40-45 pm, got delivered at 1.50 pm.

I got lukewarm (and not cold ) food because of the diligence of the Zomato delivery staff, god bless them!

Today we visited BN GB road outlet.We have made reservations before 2 days for 22 people. When we entered the outlets it was over crowded and no places for us after even booking. We spoke to the Manager and he was already busy handling other customers problems, then another person who did some adjustments and gave us 5 tables. The service was very slow even though they don't have a barbeque for us they gave table. We started asking them and questioned about it but they only running here and there and no one has proper response. After sometime they adjusted from another table and gave us barbeque but we didn't get a proper starter.... commonly serve starter like Prons, Chicken legs, Mashroom never served to us. whenever we asked about it they noded their Head telling will bring/provide but it came at end of our lunch. In lunch no proper Food..some people Waitng for roti or rice..some started arguments with Manager about food and service. in the mean while we asked about Mother day offer, the Manager lied to us saying the lady , who booked table will only get free mocktail, then I showed him a message from the BN , he didn't spoken single words on that.

We had a bad experience at the GB road outlet today . Even though the manager knew there was an extra crowd he still took booking.

Food quality was poor and no proper response from any staffs.

27 K was the bill amount we paid , Manager telling us he was very sorry for today's service and asking for one more chance ...We told him we spent money for food and service if your not able to provide that then why your taking booking.

It was pathetic experience in Barbeque nation GB road today.

in Future my group will never visit there.

Hope Barbeque nation will take note of...

This is an honest review as we have been regularly visiting since years now, firstly the staff was new there was only one guy who is very old, the new staff is not well trained like earlier staff who comes to the table every 10-15 minutes to check on the customers so it was like we had to keep asking them to provide us with the menu second disappointment was it's been years the marination of the barbecue is same and monotonous the quality of barbeque nation has been dropped drastically be it starters main course or desserts it's completely not worth paying 2500 just for two people on a weekday and after all this having the same menu with dropped quality the prawns were not properly cooked the main course all the gravies are same be it veg or non veg the gravy looks and taste same only the internal ingredients are different we are just done with barbeque nation this is a last visit and I know it hardly will make any difference to them as people who rarely visit barbeque won't understand these changes but for people who are regular will agree to me that overall be it experience of food be it experience of staff it's not the worth we pay... totally waste of money and food both as when food is not satisfying the food gets wasted and thrown away... After paying so much money only one thing was up to the mark and that was gulab jamun rest none of the dish has satisfied us... A suggestion to the genuine customer reading this visit some known restaurant and enjoy your different type of meal in lesser amount then this and satisfy your souls rather than getting in this trap and strategy of multiple barbeque which is...
