Papajis Tandoor Corner — Restaurant in Thane

Went for old times’ sake and was happy to see the quality of food and swiftness of service is same as before and now it run by Papaji’s sons. I was greeted by the owner himself was taken care in the at most professionalism with recommend things to eat and so on. I loved the Hospitality and would recommend everyone to try the experience... Brought back memories. No longer will patrons be told that they're too skinny and they must eat more. No longer will they be persuaded into having kheema pav to end their meals. No longer will they hear tales and jokes with few laughs. It isn't just the food that made customers return. Papaji always personally visited every customer, taking orders and sharing stories with all. Papaji was Known for his incredible hospitality. May God rest his soul in peace. The food just melts in the mouth, quality of meats is fresh and juicy.. Nothing to beat the sumptuous mutton sheekh. Chutney and onion dips as side dish is simply amazing. This adds special flavour to your order. They also have a dining area where you’ll can dine with your family but also they have very good area for car parking where you’ll can sit in your car or stand near it and eat as we did!! Also we don’t need to go and order, they themselves come near us to take the order and to deliver food every time until you are done eating! When in Thane and if you are a non-vegetarian then you should definitely try this place. This is the ultimate drive thru! Great quality food that can be served into your car through the window (literally!). Great for Indian tandoori dishes and more, Food is extra ordinarily tasty, finger licking great and phenomenal. This place always gives you same experience every single time you visit, seekh kabab, tandoori chicken, fish..... I've not been disappointed ever, the best tasting and great value grills/tandoori's. The BBQ meats are soft and tasty. Well situated in Central Thane, The nostalgia of the crowd buzzing outside and just wanting to get in to have a late night bite is so absorbing. Everyone should be able to visit this restaurant at least once. It has an amazing vibe, a MUST to do…..can’t say anything more...

I recently tried several chicken dishes and here’s my take on them:

Butter Chicken: This dish was delicious and creamy, without being sweet. Chicken Kadai: It was a little spicy but still very flavorful. Tandoori Chicken: Although it was slightly dry, the taste was good. Black Pepper Chicken: This was also quite delicious. Chicken Tikka: Unfortunately, the pieces were dry and the quantity was small.

Considering the price point and being in Thane, if you're looking for Delhi-style chicken, I would definitely recommend trying this place.

I noticed that prices on Zomato and Swiggy are higher and inflated. If you order directly and pick it up, it will cost you less.

One suggestion I have is for them to provide more onions and green chutney with the dishes.

Parking is available on the main road.

If you’re a fan of desi-style tandoori and seafood, Papaji’s Tandoor Corner in Thane is a hidden gem you shouldn’t miss. We recently ordered a bunch of dishes for a chill evening, and this place did not disappoint.

Started off with the Rava Fry and Prawns Koli Vada—crispy, flavorful, and perfectly spiced. The real star of the night though was the Tandoori Chicken—hands down one of the best I’ve had. It was chatpata, soft, succulent, juicy, and bursting with flavor in every bite. You can tell it’s made fresh and marinated right.

We wrapped it up with their Butter Chicken, which was rich, creamy, and paired perfectly with naan.

The place is more of a takeaway joint than a dine-in experience, but if you’re looking for top-notch North Indian and coastal flavors at home, this is your spot. Highly recommended for takeouts and...
