Suraj Veg Treat — Restaurant in Thane

I am a regular visitor to this restaurant. I like the food, the ambience, and the location. It's located in a prime location in Thane. I have been visiting this restaurant for past 11 years. But today I m extremely shocked by the behaviour of the owner of the restaurant. Hence, I thought of writing a review.

I was with my son today date 02 March 2024. I had taken my son to this restaurant many times. He always has a habit of doing a experiment of Salt and pepper in water. The salt and pepper which is kept on the table, he puts it in the water and he enjoys doing it. I understand its a waste of salt and pepper and I also control him and explain him not to waste so much and ofcourse he listens. Today, while he was doing the same I was telling him not to waste salt, a woman walked into the restaurant, and she watched him play with salt. She is suppose to be the owner of the restaurant. She gave me a dirty look and she said "Do you know how much it costs me every month to buy salt along with GST?" and she walked away. (I have uploaded the pic of him playing with the salt)

I wanted to just get up and go but the food had already been served. I told the manager of the restaurant to handover Rs. 50 to the owner with GST included for the salt my son wasted.

She is ridiculous, and she doesn't have the basic manners to talk to her customers. This place is definitely not a kid-friendly place. Please do not come with your kids.

Mam, I trust you have received the money for the salt that was wasted by my son. (Sorry for the trouble). I paid Rs. 50 to your manager which included GST. I hope this works. Thank you for...

Suraj veg treat was always on second top hotel in our list for eating veg....But from today's incident i would never step in this hotel.... After entering the hotel first 15 min we were not attended by anyone.... Then also chalo thik hai rush is there so we didn't mind but after giving order(5 roti and paneer tikka masala)after waiting for our order for 45 minutes when we asked waiter...he said he forgot to place order..how irresponsible... Then we decided to leave.... We went to the counter to pay the bill of bislery water and green salad ... Lady asked us about our order we said he forgot to place order... Instead of being sorry that lady sitting on counter is telling.... Arda ghanta to hua hai.... That place as sitting there as a manager or whatever she should have said sorry and asked her staff why they didn't served or attended on time.... Such a pathetic service and staff i have ever seen.... I am sure she was not the owner.... But if owner read this review please teach your staff to behave properly with your customer bcoz of them your hotel is earning and so do the staff is...

Suraj Veg Treat is your classic family-style vegetarian restaurant – simple, homely, and reliable. They serve all sorts of vegetarian dishes, but I usually come here for the standard subzi–roti–dal–rice combination.

On my recent visit, we ordered veg kofta, dal tadka, roti, and jeera rice, and as always, they did not disappoint. The food was flavorful, portions were satisfying, and the service was quick and attentive.

The only downside was that the air conditioning wasn’t very effective, which made the dining experience a bit less comfortable.

That said, I’ve been coming here for nearly 10 years, and it continues to be a dependable spot for hearty vegetarian meals. Definitely a place I’ll keep...
