Metkut is purely marathi restaurant.. as a marathi metkut is sorry "was" my 1st choice.. but last time we visited on 2nd Oct, in evening time, i experienced a very bad service. we waited a long hrs to go in, it may b a good sign that your restaurant has a queue outside but real situation was different there was no management for waiting people so we waited a long time, a aged person/ waiter wrote name wrong after cross check we finally could go in...
They had a board outside saying we are open at Kasarvadavali , that is wrong from more than a year Kasarvadavali branch is shut ...
As we entered all 4,5 waiter just roaming here n there just showing they were in hurry but as we + plus other families / tables also observed that those were just showing they are in hurry no 1 came for taking order...
We asked many , many things all were not available, basics like सोलकढी, modak, upas vada nothing was there.. we people come for that special marathi other things we can easily get in other restaurants also..
Waiter served wrong order on our table..
As we started complaining other two table also started complaining they were also facing the same thing ..
We asked them to give owners number one small kid ( owner's son) also refused to give number , as it is a main branch atleast owner should be present so that all will provide better service..
All they are focusing on swiggy n zomato, then they should start cloud kitchen ..
In short , one मराठी restaurant was becoming famous, and we started liking but now they are about to go one step back.. now a days we heared from manyyyyyy "metkut nko , khup bore karatet aaj kal service tyanchi aadhi sarkha rahila nahi..."
Did not expect this from METKUT , hope owner will look in to it.. otherwise many others are struggling to become...

Now, let’s dive into the food. This thali is a true delight for vegetarians, offering a wide range of authentic Maharashtrian dishes. Starting with the appetizers, the Ulta Vada Pav is a must-try. The crispy vada placed on top of the soft pav makes for a unique and mouth-watering combination.
Moving on to the main course, the Metkut Special Thali really steals the show. It is a wholesome thali that showcases the best of Maharashtrian cuisine. The bhakri made from jowar or millet is cooked to perfection and goes great with the delicious varan (lentils). The vegetables are cooked to perfection with the right balance of spices and freshness. And let's not forget about the Usal, a spicy and tangy sprout curry that adds a burst of flavour to the thali.
The best part is at the end, the dessert. The Aam Ras Puri is a heavenly treat for mango lovers. The rich and creamy Aam Ras (mango pulp) with the soft and fluffy Puri is an absolute delight. It's the perfect sweet ending to a sumptuous meal.

Read moreThe place is located right opposite Gantali Mandir which serves as a landmark for the place! The restaurant is easy to sight. The place is quite famous so you might have to wait for sometime. (We waited for about 10 mins) The ambience of the place is good with everything being given a typical Maharashtrian touch. The paintings hung on wall show different parts of Maharashtra. Also the tables have a number of things written on them in Marathi. The menu is fascinating with all the menu items listed in Marathi and having the description below them in English. It also contains a 'Favourite' section which might help you select if you going here for the 1st time. The staff is well mannered and polite. Water was served in traditional copper glasses (in pictures) and they had provided tamba lota to refill your glasses! We ordered Bhajaniche wade for the starters and Vangicha Khandeshi Bharit(mild spicy) and Kajuchi Ussal(kinda sweet) for main course alongwith rice bhakri, nachni bhakri and plain chapati. Thr Bhajaniche wade were amazing and mouthwatering. Something i hadn't tried in a very long time. While the main course seemed okayish to me. They had provided thecha, mirchi, metkut and ghee on the side to add to your taste. Metkut also provides a special menu for people fasting so this place can serve as an option during fasting too! For me, the food quality and taste were amazing though i found the quantity to be quite less for the pricing! Overall if you are looking for a joint serving authentic Maharashtrian food, Metkut can be your...
