I might be a lil too harsh with the review because I went with very high expectations and was utterly disappointed. The poor service started even before I got to the restaurant. There was a crazy amount of traffic on the roads that day because of which we were 20 mins late for an 8pm reservation. Within the 30 mins before I reached the location, I got maybe 7 calls from the restaurant, asking if Iâm coming saying âitâs a Sunday and thereâs waiting.â So I already went there annoyed by these extremely annoying constant calling. And when we got there, there was no waiting at all!! In fact there were at least 3 tables empty!!! And that just pissed me off even more.
It was visible that theyâre low on service staff, there were only 2-3 service people managing the entire restaurant.
We ordered the very hyped hummus chat, which was good. We also ordered the harissa paneer tikka which was just a normal paneer tikka with maybe not enough salt but it was fine. Next was the kathal kebab sliders which were a complete let down. The Pao too big for the kebabs, were extremely buttery and Iâm assuming that was supposed to make up for the flavourless kebabs. It was a complete let down.
For beverages, we ordered a mango blueberry drink. As soon as it arrived, I was hesitant to try it because it looked soooo ugly. It was a dull grey colour, garnished very very poorly and tasted of just sugar. Extremely disappointing.
The restaurant is fairly new, but the interiors say otherwise. It has not been maintained well. With the wall pieces broken and missing, the glass doors all foggy and dirty looking. The place does not look well kept at all.
After our meal, we asked for the bill, paid it and were waiting for our car to arrive from the valet service at the table. We were literally asked by the service staff to leave because there are people waiting for the table. Again, no people waiting outside, and there were empty tables still!!
Overall, I had a terrible experience at the place. Do not believe everything you...
Read moreI had high hopes for my visit to Pincode as I had made a prior reservation, but unfortunately, it turned out to be a major disappointment. From the moment I arrived, it was clear that the restaurant was disorganized. Despite having a reservation for 6 people, we were given a table for 4 people. When, I approached the manager Mr. Prahlad to discuss the matter. To my shock, the manager responded with an utter lack of courtesy and respect. Not only did they dismiss my concerns, but they also displayed an unacceptable level of impatience and arrogance.
Also, service was nothing short of pathetic it took an excruciatingly long time to place our orders, and we had to constantly flag down servers for even the most basic requests.
The quality of the food was equally disappointing. Many of the dishes lacked flavor and finesse, and the presentation left much to be desired. It felt like the kitchen was having an off day, which was reflected in the underwhelming dishes that arrived at our table.
Overall, my experience at Pincode was far from the enjoyable dining experience I had anticipated. I would caution others against visiting, especially if they expect quality service and delectable food. It's unfortunate when a restaurant with potential falls so short of...
Read moreThe food was pretty average. Especially considering the fact that this place is owned or in association with a famous chef, Kunal, the food was not up to the mark. The âDal Makhaniâ wasnât bad but still no where close to the taste of some popular restaurants like âDaryaganjâ, âMade in Punjabâ, Punjab Grill. We did not wanted a repeat of the dal makhani so ordered âDal tadkaâ, which was even less tastier than Dal Makhani. It had a bit of a sour taste, maybe a bit too much garlic or something I couldnât exactly figure out. The âKadhai Paneerâ was good though, but again considering association with a famous chef, nothing spectacular, which one may expect. The presentation of the Tomato Shorba was surely nice, with a garlic toast coming as an accompaniment, spread with a dressing and loaded with tomato. The songs that were playing were some mid era ânot so popular songsâ and the fact was even pinpointed to me by a few family members; however I feel a better atmosphere can be created by providing live singing or simply playing some soothing slow music(just simple melodies), which gives a pleasant vibe. The ambience of the...
