We had lunch on NewYear. The day is too crowded in all the restaurant, so no exception for this too. We had a worst experience.
Service : Nobody cares the customers what they want. As I told earlier the restaurant is crowded so we had to give the name and wait but there is no use on that. Suddenly a family comes and they sat on a table where the cleaning is happening (no reservation no waiting nothing) . After we complained on that "Nobody Cares" . Finally after 45 mins we got the seat. We understood there is huge crowd but to take the order it took around 25-30 minutes. While we order nothing is there (No Briyani, No Thali) the food arrived after 30 minutes of order. One of dish arrived after 75 minutes of ordering. Guess the dish.
Food : We order Nenju ezhubu Soup (Mutton Ribs) Apollo Fish fry, Vanjaram fish Fry, Chicken Fried rice, Mutton Briyani, Mixed veg fried rice with Schezwan, Tandoori Chicken, Elanner Payasam, Arabian Falooda, Brownie with Icecream, Butterscotch Milkshake.
Worst foods : Whole eating i can feel the very bad smell in the dishes. Mutton biriyani (The mutton is horrible), Vanjaram fish fry - I felt like it's stale, Apollo Fish fry is okie. Tandoori chicken is one my worst dishes i have ever tasted. It was stale and smells very bad.
Good Foods: Chicken Fried rice, Mixed Veg fried rice, Brownie and all desserts.
So my suggestion try something Chinese in there. Don't go for the south indian dishes those are horrible.
The dish which came after 75 minutes is "Mixed Veg Fried rice" I don't know why it took 75 minutes .
All the complaints has been raised at the...

Stepping into The Farmer, I was greeted with a promising start. The Tomato Soup and the Tom Kha Soup were definite highlights, showcasing a delightful depth of flavor and a comforting warmth. These appetizers truly set a high bar for the meal ahead.
However, the momentum plateaued with the arrival of the Indian breads. The Roti and Naan, while acceptable, didn't quite reach the same level of excellence as the soups, falling into the realm of average.
Moving on to the starters, the Baby Corn and Mushroom preparations proved to be somewhat underwhelming. They were okayish, lacking a certain zing or distinctiveness that would make them memorable.
Unfortunately, the main courses didn't manage to elevate the experience. The Kadai Veg Gravy and the Paneer Tikka Masala, which I had hoped would be the stars of the meal, turned out to be a letdown. They seemed to lack the robust flavors and nuanced spicing that one typically expects from these classic dishes. In conclusion, my experience at The Farmer was a bit of a mixed bag. While the soups were exceptional and deserve commendation, the rest of the meal ranged from average to disappointing.
There's certainly potential here, especially evident in the soup offerings, but the restaurant needs to focus on elevating the quality and flavor profiles of its breads, starters, and main courses to provide a more consistently satisfying...
Read moreWe reached the hotel at 8 on a weekend. It wasn't crowded then. Ambience was good. Menu was widespread but while ordering we found that many of the dishes were not available. We ordered a soup, veg momos, veg fried rice and mix veg curry. Soup and momos were served very late, maybe 20 mins later. Tom yum soup tasted like rasam in which some veggie chunks were added. Veg momos were green in color, not sure why. By this time too it wasn't crowded. 45 mins later after asking for our main course, we were served the curry - veg kolhapuri. It wasn't what we asked. We wanted a non-spicy curry for kids, but it was a little spicy. 10 mins later we again asked for rice but nobody knew what caused the delay. So after 1 hour in the restaurant, we ate only soup and a momo and were watching our curry getting cold. By this time everyone was more hungry and we ordered appam and burger too. After 10 mins, server realised that they were out of burgers. We asked for anything that could be served soon, and ordered rotis. Finally food was served. Fried rice was good. Appam was basically a dosa in circular shape. Phulkas were very thin, but sadly they were made from maida.
Overall it was a below average experience. Wait for food was too long. The food served were not so great. It might be a bad day in kitchen but it disappointed us a lot. Not planning to visit again nor would...
