The Chocolate Factory — Restaurant in Tripura

Today I had the worst and most disgusting experience as a customer. I placed an order of a Blueberry classic (2 pound) cake on the occasion of our Wedding Anniversary. I placed the order on Thursday evening, paid 1000 rupees in advance and was promised delivery today (Saturday, Feb 19) at 6:30 pm (at max 7 pm). So as promised I turned up at the shop at 6:30 pm. There were other customers in the shop, so I informed the sales girl and the Gentleman (Uncle) in the shop about my order’s delivery and waited patiently. Till 7 pm I was not even attended or acknowledged. At 7:30 the girl and Uncle told me it will take 15 mins more. When I told them about my disappointment I was told I am a newcomer and don’t know anything. So, I had to cancel the order, buy whatever was available.

My feedback to the Owner would be Please Please attend customers who have placed an order and don’t only attend walk in customers. Please also improve your customer interaction and customer service skills.

I wasted 1 hour in your shop. Please value and show respect to your customer’s time.

I am giving you a 1 star because of your staff’s extremely rude behaviour, wasting my time and almost ruining my anniversary celebration.

Your cakes are really good, but your attitude remains the same I can only see you sliding downhill.

I will not recommend anyone to your shop.

A very Dissatisfied and...

Worst experience with the Chocolate Factory... Ordered a Frozen Elsa charactered cake with so called Belgium chocolate flavor for Rs.4000 for 2.5kg ap cake. Scheduled delivery was within 7pm and after reaching there had to literally waited on the road for almost 45 mins for getting my cake ready. Now the courtesy by the front staff, mercilessly worst attitude, the owner stopped picking call after I got literally frustrated of being late waiting for my cake to be ready.

Now genuine feedback from my guests, the taste of the cake was worthless, rather they appreciated a backup cake from sherawali that I ordered for my pure veg guest.

My parents and family including my birthday daughter told me never ever go for the chocolate factory Agartala for any cake.

So exuberantly pricey, no taste, brought brittle cake inside, behaviour wise not worthy, not courteous at all... Sorry for being blunt, but when someone spends bit on higher side and expect a very shallow service is what expected from auch...

Cake Taste: Decent Cake Customisation: Great What's not okay: Price, Customer Satisfaction

Just because Agartala doesn't have good cake and pastry chains and not many good bakeries, they charge exorbitant rates. Normal small chocolate cakes start from 600, and go upto 800-900 maybe.

If you compare them to prices in Mio Amore, Monginis, French Loaf etc, you will realise that they are charging so much excess, and the cakes are not tasty ( They are good enough, but nothing so great if you compare with the price).

Agartala needs good cake chains, just like local pizza shops used to make bad tasting and overpriced pizza before Dominos and other stores started making good pizza at affordable rates, they are also making overpriced cakes just because there is no competition.

They could not even provide me a bag to carry the cake in.
