The ambience is decent. But same cannot be said about the food and service. The food were overall okayish.
The starters
*mushroom and baby corn pepper chilli was okay not great,
*the butter garlic prawn was good(for my friends), okayish (for me) though we didnāt find trace of butter or garlic. It was heavy doused in kasundi which i donāt like much,so I'll let that go but overall the dish tasted okay.
*Main course-
*The tandoori rotis were a little hard but not bad, they were eatable.
*Kadhai paneer was too oily, gravy was okayish not great.
*Chicken korma - only dish that was superb, the chicken were tender and soft, properly doused in the gravy, and the gravy tasted perfect as well.
*Kashmiri chicken biryani - it was a little too sweet for our tastes but by mixing with the gravy from chicken korma that was solved, the chcken pieces were great too!
Now the main part **SERVICE - The service is not good. We had ordered 3 tandoori roti but when our order came they provided us with only 2 tandoori rotis. When we asked the waitress, it was only then we were informed no more tandoori rotis could be provided, we have to order something else. We ordered laccha paratha, but after another 5-10 mins we were informed this also can't be provided. As it was already late and ordering another item would take more time we didnāt and continued our meal. But the thing remains. When the order was being taken it should have been informed not after it was delivered. This is highly unprofessional. I hope Bonsai rectifies this in the future as i have seen other bad reviews about their service as well.
Though being said all that, i would love to visit again to try some other items as well.
And i think the real Bonsais near the main door of Bonsai restaurant...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreYesterday I went to Bonsai with my friends and I must say it's a wonderful place to visit but there are few things that I want to address to make this place a better one.. First coming to the good part.. we went there and the staff's behaviour was impressive. The ambience was nice with perfect lights and music. Coming to food..the starters were delicious..we ordered prawns, chicken and BBQ.. all of them tasted like heaven. Coming to main course we ordered Mixed sea food rice (really good) Schezwan fried rice Chicken (amazing) Hakla noddles Chicken (really good) Thai salad chicken (best salad I ever had) Paneer sizzler and fish sizzler (average) chicken curry and Chili pork (below average) For drinks we ordered mocktails and mojito..both were refreshing. According to my opinion i felt this restaurant serves some really good chinese food but when it comes to Indian they lack flavours.. Points which I would like to adress is that: There were many dishes which were there in the menu but they were not available. There were no Ac or fan when electricity was not there which is not expected in a restaurant. Apart from all even the owner was very friendly with us. I think this place can be great place with addition of the...

Dragon Chicken ( 3/5) - Dragon chicken is made with batter fried crispy, crunchy chicken strips tossed in a spicy, sweet, and sour sauce along with cashews, bell peppers, and onions. I was searching for the crunchy Cashews. But that's okay. It was equally good.
Chicken Thai Dry fried - (4/5) problem is that there are an embarrassingly large number of fried-chicken recipes. It was crunchy and flavoured, tossed with a sweet-and-spicy sauce and fresh herbs. This may be the most flavourful Chicken I tasted here in Bonsai.
Chicken Dum Biryani - (4/5) It was Good. Reviewing Biryani is difficult. I had so much of Biryani in so many places around the world that all taste different yet all are called Chicken dum Biryani.
One Feedback:- Height of Table need to...
