Cellar — Restaurant in Uttar Pradesh

One of the oldest place in town and my favorite too has launched up their new italian menu and the taste was perfect as it was before. It's a cute little place situated in Mahangar and you will fall in love with their ambience and also the private seating area. The staff was very kind and helpful. It's a must visit for everyone to enjoy some mouthwatering Italian dishes. Coming to the drinks Summer Spritzer - Highly recommended drink from this place. Do give it a try. Mango Blast - This one was delightful in taste. Best drink to beat the summer heat. Chocolate Cookies Shake - This one was a perfect blend of chocolate & cookies. Another must try drink.

Coming to the food Really loved the Italian stuffed bread it's a must try from the starters. Also the gunpowder croquettes was another perfect dish. The crunchy cheese balls as the name suggests lacked cheese in it, That can be improvised. rest the taste was perfect.

Salads I tried their Russian Salad which was perfect in taste. A highly recommended one for all the vegetarians out their.

Pizza They serve thin crust pizzas and the best part about their Pizza is that it is customizable. U can choose any toppings for your Pizza at the similar prize with no extra amount. Also this pizza was a must try. Really loved the taste.

Desserts The creamy coconut pudding served with ice cream is a must try in desserts. The concept of the dessert was completely different also the taste was wonderful.

I don't usually rate restaurants 5/5 but this one's worth it!! This place has overruled all the other places with Italian cuisine. Down to my analysis:

Food- Exquisite! Delightful! There are not enough synonyms of yummy to define the quality of food items served here. Both veg. and non-veg. items are ambrosial. To top them off there are heavenly mock-tails and desserts. We went for a 3 course meal and were more than satisfied. The Chicken Sizzler served here is out of this world. The Veg-extravaganza pasta with nachos is mouth-watering. I really liked the 'Electric Shock' mock-tail. The 'Hot Fudge Cake' was dainty and scrumptious. 5/5

Ambiance- The restaurant has a pretty cool ambiance. The interiors reflect proper cellars. The seating and lighting is just right. The music player over here is soothing and not at all loud. The thing that I really liked about this restaurant is silence. It is free from hustle-bustle. 5/5

Service- The service was prompt and polite. The servers respect your time and privacy. They don't tend to intrude your conversations or push you to order quickly, which, in fact, is done at a lot of places! 5/5

Cost- It is economical given the quality, quantity and ambiance.

The Cellar is a wonderful place in Lucknow. We have been here since more than a decade for sure - and often on special occasions. Perhaps one of the first fine dining places in Lucknow where close to authentic Italian food was served and still maintains the charm. Food is amazing, whether it is risotto (it was not there this time though when we visited), lasagne, garlic bread with cheese, layers of cheese filled with chicken and vegetables, cream of chicken soup etc. - all great - thank you Chefs of The Cellar (it is part of RITZ group - an iconic food chain in Lucknow).

Few recommendations The Cellar: "Times are changing" - and please DO NOT IGNORE very important needs such as having toilets or making your restaurant ACCESSIBLE to those who may not prefer or are comfortable with staircases. Toilet in the restaurant above (lots of stairs) makes it very difficult for those who are not comfortable with stairs due to range of reasons. Also, restaurant is in basement so stairs again - please please please. I hope our request will not fall on deaf ears - and groups like Ritz will LEAD FROM THE FRONT on making all their facilities ACCESSIBLE...
