Read moreI visited Lucknow for an official work and found this place while searching for must eat places in lucknow. This was the nearest place to me, hence decided to give it a try. I am total outsider to Lucknow as well as UP.
UBER auto can help u reach there. It inside a narrow gully and very difficult to navigate if ur new to such crowded places. I went around 9 pm, the place looked very very crowded. Looked as if some festival rush. I took a deep breath and decided to jump into the crowd since I travelled a good 30 mins in peak traffic to reach this place. There was No place in ground floor to sit, climbed to 1st floor, no place to sit, climbed to 2nd floor, no place to sit. Then I patiently waited for 20 mins, the floor manager had noticed me waiting and hence he set me up at a stable at 1 st floor.
Right away ordered pasinda and nihari roti- as suggested by many reviewers. Food was good. I also took a half plate of chicken curry. The food was very nice, authentic taste. The entire floor was so crowded- You never know who is the cleaner and who is the waiter. Somehow the waiters have developed a skill for navigating the narrow stairs with 5-6 plates of chicken curry stacked up, without spilling them.
The food was also not very costly For a pasindha ( Half plate) Chicken Curry ( Half plate) One rumali roti and one nihari roti , i paid 275 INR.
The food is good, so, its definitely worth the effort. The place is frequented by families and young people alike.
Cons: Over crowded- AC is suboptimal - obviously because of the crowd. Needs better cleanliness. One who is not very used to street food standards , may feel uncomfortable. 16 hours post food intake - No misadventure in...
Read moreMubeen’s is a legendary non-vegetarian joint nestled in the heart of Old Lucknow’s bustling food hub. Having heard rave reviews, I recently made my way there, and let me tell you—it was an experience to remember!
Ambiance and Atmosphere
The moment I stepped inside, I was greeted by a warm and busy atmosphere. The place was abuzz with people—a true testament to its popularity.
Culinary Delights
Now, let’s talk about the food. Mubeen’s lives up to its reputation. Here are some highlights:
Nihari Kulchas: These were nothing short of amazing. The kulchas were super crispy, and even a vegetarian could enjoy them with tea as a delightful snack.
Beef Pasanda Kebab: Prepare to be blown away! The beef pasanda kebab is, in my opinion, the best kebab ever. Tender, flavorful, and utterly satisfying.
Chicken Barra: A recent addition to my list of favorites. The taste was quite good, although I found the mutton biryani a tad bland.
Nahari Kulcha: A must-try! The rich flavors of the nahari paired perfectly with the soft kulchas.
The Unconventional Charm
Mubeen’s doesn’t focus on fancy ambiance. Instead, it prioritizes consistent taste. Yes, the place might not be the epitome of hygiene, but it’s old Lucknow—full of character and flavor. Plates may not be spotless, but the food more than compensates for it.
Insider Tip
