While Rattilal's mithai and other sweets may be delicious, their customer service leaves something to be desired. I found the staff to be quite rude and lacking in basic customer service skills.
It's important to note that having a strong heritage and history can be a great selling point for a sweets shop, but it's not enough on its own. Customers also expect to be treated well and given a positive experience when they visit a shop.

Read moreWe went to buy Puri sabzi at around 8:25 AM but we had to wait for around 25 mins just for the puris to get ready. The service was slow and staff unprofessional. The place seemed to be hygienic but the procedure wasn't so much. One of the desserts in the cooling counter looked spoilt. The taste was OK, too spicy for my liking. We asked the person packing our food whether the food contained onion garlic or not but he had no idea and asked the manager. Hands were being used for taking out the sabzi directly from the fridge, no gloves whatsoever. Wouldn't try again...
