Café Coffee Day Dehradun: A Familiar Escape in the Foothills Ah, Café Coffee Day. A name synonymous with caffeine fixes and familiar vibes across India. Dehradun, nestled amidst the majestic Himalayas, is no exception. Recently, I sought refuge from the bustling streets within the comforting embrace of a local CCD. Here's what my cup of experience tasted like:
First Impressions:
Walking into the Dehradun CCD is like stepping into a well-worn book. The décor is familiar, a warm blend of brown leather seats, wooden accents, and soft lighting. There's a comforting predictability that instantly puts you at ease. Whether you're escaping the sun or the workday, it's a haven for quiet contemplation or lively chatter.
Brews and Bites:
CCD's menu is a reliable friend, offering a familiar array of coffees, teas, and snacks. I went for my usual , the aromatic blend a warm hug in a mug. The taste was spot-on, just the right balance of strength and flavor. My friend opted for Black Coffee , and the satisfied slurps spoke volumes. Beyond the caffeine haven, the bites menu offers reliable comfort food They may not be Michelin-star level, but they're perfect for satiating that mid-day pang.
Beyond the Cup:
It's not just the coffee that keeps Dehradun's CCD ticking. The staff is friendly and efficient, remembering regulars and offering a smile along with your order. The free Wi-Fi and ample plug points make it a haven for remote warriors and laptop nomads. The background music is a mellow mix, adding to the ambience without intruding on your thoughts.
The Verdict:
Café Coffee Day Dehradun might not be your groundbreaking culinary adventure, but it's a dependable friend. It's the place you go for a familiar hug in a mug, a comfortable escape from the daily grind, and a reliable internet connection. It's not fancy, but it's genuine, a place where you can be yourself and simply be.

Read moreIf there was a zero rating available would give it that. They charged 300 for a king size cappuccino, bottle of water and a small cookie. When asked for the bill, they started discussions amongst themselves, clearly showed they had botched up. After much back and forth got to know they charged us for a king size crushed cappuccino which we never asked for, also punched the water bottle twice. Then they say the crushed cappuccino wasn’t available (which in the first place was never ordered) so why charge at all. Since we are regulars at CCDs we have a fair idea of the charges. Guys please check your bills before getting coffee and other stuff here. Apparently somebody else ordered for a plain brownie and he was charged for the ice cream. The apology seemed quite meek. Clearly shows the staff and manager are in this...
