We had lunch at the restaurant. I was deeply disappointed by the service and the quality of the food. We went after reading all the reviews and so had high expectations. I will start from one side :- The ambience is ok since it provides a whole lot of nature view. There are multiple seating area. Gazebo style outside seating , indoor seating, a few in the covered verandah and then the terrace seating. The narrow staircase to the terrace overlooks an unkept area, not a pleasant sight. Service is very poor. Staff needs lot of training. Not a single smiling, welcoming face. Water is not provided ( untill you ask for it ) . Food was served without providing necessary plates and cutlery. Coming to food. The chicken spring roll was very oily, over fried and the base cover was very thick. The chicken momos were ok. The crispy chicken was tasty. The chicken thupka was not tasty. Some of the chicken pieces were tasting stale. Definitely not worth a second visit. There is adequate free parking space inside the...
Read moreI don't know where to begin. This is by far the most disappointing food experience I've had at from any restaurant. The Sha Phaley outer crust was tough as a rock while barely having any seasoning. Sumai momos and regular chicken momos were sub par with tough dough and tasteless fillings. Same thing with the Oroma roll. Veg steamed momos tasted so weird that I feel you'd get better tasting momos from a roadside stall. The most disappointing part is the noodles. Now what image would pop up in your brain if I told you to imagine Pan Fried Chicken Noodles? I bet you're imagining something that looks appetising and tastes good. Well guess what, the noodles I got were PLAIN FREAKING NOODLES. No colour on them and NO CHICKEN. The noodles were not even salted. Safe to say I'm NEVER trying my luck with Lhasa Tibet Kitchen ever again and will make sure the people around me know about my experience.
TL;DR- Flavourless momos, tough coating, no seasoning in chicken noodles that apparently come...
Read moreThe ambience is good when and if eating outside. The restaurant inside is actually an old flat that was turned into a restaurant.so not that spacious or well maintained. The food is really authentic Tibetan cuisine. So, I'd recommend if you are really hardcore foodie and into spicy food and stuff, you might not like it very much. I would recommend to try the Thukpa here. Really liked it. Momos are okay too. Sumoi momos are good. Kothey momos are also decent. But have had better momos at other places The place is also full of Tibet culture souvenirs and pictures and references. The staff is friendly and cooperative. Although, did feel like the place was full of customers and the staff was lil less to cater to them. So, a lil slower service. But it could be due to covid restrictions allowing lesser number of staff as well. Also, it's a lil outside the main city area. So wouldn't recommend late night visit after which getting a cab to return would...
