Went on a Sunday morning for brunch with family. Found out the cafe opens at 1100h and hence went by 1130h with prior booking. Only one table, consisting of two customers, was occupied. The view was good and the ambience too. It was warm though, being Sunny morning and had to tell the staff about it. They then placed the fan. Placed order and after about half an hour, was told the tandoor is not ready and one of the dishes ordered will take considerable time. This could have been told initially and would have saved half an hour. Ordered another dish and waited again. One really disturbing thing noticed was there were 4-5 staff available but only one person (Mr Satish Thapa) was running around to take and serve orders. Others were mute spectators and looked totally distant. The Manager seemed absent initially and someone did turn up much later. But he was of no use and was not seen to take any interest in customer service. The used plates were piled up on the table and no one seems to be bothered. Had to call and request repeatedly to clear the same. There was supposedly valet parking available which was not there when we arrived. The car key was taken in an incorrect manner and thought it will be with valet. A very unprofessionally managed place with a disinterested manager. The food was good but the chef's culinary skills were marred by the indifferent Manager and incompetent staff (except Mr Satish Thapa). I paid the bill through Swiggy Dineout but nobody came to take the photo of the payment details (as is the practice). While leaving, I went near the counter and informed that the payment is made to the Manager. He then asked me to wait and then took the photo of the payment details. It never happened with me earlier when the Manager refuses to leave the counter and wants customer to come to him to confirm the payment. That time, I saw my car key lying there and had to pick up myself. Overall, this cafe managed to spoil our Sunday morning experience of brunch and the mood, of course. Two Star rating is essentially for the Chef and Mr Satish Thapa, both of whom are competent but in a wrong place. Highly unprofessional and clumsily...

The cafe is located on the old Mussoorie road, if you need directions don't find it on Google, but start your journey towards mudcup cafe. You will spot narcos easily.
Parking space is only for like 4 cars and no more. Incase you don't find Parking the guard will assist you with it.
Ambience : 4.5/5 Great ambience, prefab work done to perfection. Even the staircase leading you to the cafe is nicely done with wall art. Inside you will find very cosy sitting arrangement and ample sitting area. The views of green hills from the big windows are a natural remedy for eyes.
Food & beverages: 2.5/5 I won't say I loved the food and drinks that we had, the chocolate shake was over done with sweetness, the cold coffee was so bad that we had to send it back to be redone. The vodka pasta we ordered, we had specially asked for less spicy, but it came our spicy and was not having the taste of vodka which was disappointing, the garlic bread was over cooked. But as I mentioned on the top this is just the first trip review, usually this changes after a few visits. I m sure the management would take this as constructive feedback and work on it.
Covid 19 : Zero precautions in place. No sanitization prior to entry in the cafe. Just like many places in dehradun who have forgotten about covid.
Staff: Courteous and hears you out completely. From the time I entered the cafe to the tike I left the assistance of staff was much appreciated.
For now rating it 3 star, will be making a second visit to the place and again reviewing .
Second visit :

Read moreIt's been quite a while that I came across an eatery which is 5/5 on all aspects. It was thursday afternoon and we decided to try out Narcoz after reading the reviews. Reached the spot and got the car valet parked without hassel. 2 flights of stairs and we entered the restaurant. First glimpse and you grin, didn't make mistake on place selection. High roof, ample seating and beautiful decor. Great valley view through huge windows. We checked out upstairs sitting, it was quite cozy, but being a hot afternoon, we decided to sit by the windows in main hall. Ordered Fish and Chips, Mushroom Risotto with Chicken and 2 iced teas, peach and passion fruit. Fish and chips, perfection. Mushroom Risotto, great. Iced Teas, perfection. Our host Mahesh and others were quite humble and polite. Ambiance, music, view, perfect. It must be quite busy during weekends and nights, so was a good decision that we went for lunch. Having entire place to yourself, peaceful, no rush. Recommended for everyone. Will keep visiting whenever I visit doon. PS: Management: retain your staff by every possible mean. They are the soul of...
