Café Marigold — Restaurant in Uttarakhand

Visited this cafe few days ago and charm of the cafe will get you the moment you enter inside. Plants are everywhere and decor is quite thoughtful. I had their Day's Special mocktail i.e. Chatpata Guava. Drink was topped with freshly chopped coriander and the flavour was perfectly balanced. It was a total chatpata blast to the taste buds.

Later on, I had their Pan Fried Noodles which were cooked in coconut milk. There were so many fresh exotic vegetables inside. Taste was very soothing. I also had their Veg Saucy Momos and Penne Pasta. Both of them were freshly made and delectable. Owner of the cafe & staff were kind. I had a great time there with my friends and would surely visit again during my furure visit...

Had a terrible experience..Was with my 4 year old son and had to wait for more than an hour for the order to come. Was not even served a glass of water...so the service was way beyond poor..finally had to go inside the kitchen and ask the waiter to serve the order and still it took another 20mins. N by the way while placing the order we were told that we would only have to wait for ten minutes but it took 1hr 15 mins to be precise. Plus there was a family who came after us but since they were known to the owner they were served two orders much before us..we were still waiting when their second order arrived..so overall though the music was good and the plc looks fine but service...

I have been connected as a customer of this restaurant since 2007, and every time I visit Dehradun, I make it a point to stop by. The soup noodles, tea, and overall atmosphere have always remained the same, and I've always felt positive there. However, I'm not sure why, but in 2025, possibly due to inflation or increased popularity, the prices have doubled compared to other restaurants. Now, a masala tea costs ₹90, a regular sandwich is ₹250, and 4-5 soupy momos are priced at ₹250. I would love to visit again, but it's no longer within my budget. Sadly, today will be my last visit.
