Tonic is the definition of gastropub personified. This is not a family place although depending on the timing it can act like one. You can comfortably visit with kids during day time when it's less crowded however as night begins there is lot of youngsters who want to drink, smoke, hookah while listening to their dj/ live band which is pretty awesome 👌. There are no restrictions here, so if you go you must assess your mood and the environment you're in. Nobody misbehaves , the staff is cooperative but you might be annoyed by the smoking and loud chatter. The food is just average. Worst experience ever. This is for the second time i am experience this in tonic and definitely the last time as i am never again going there. First they add extra quantity in our bill and were adamant that they served it. When i asked them to show there cctv as it was right on us they denied saying it does not work. Why do you add extra items on a bill when it was never ordered, ( happens mostly on a bill with lots of items, heard the same experience from others) and why have you even installed the cctv when it does not work. Tonic is one of the (not hidden gems) of Doon, which lovers of live music swear by. It is a rooftop pub with indoor and outdoor seating, with a view of the Mussoorie hills. The vibe is quite similar to Perch (Delhi) at Khan, with lavish use of whites and green plants. They have a surprisingly good liquor menu and you can find the not so easily available whiskeys and single malts. There is a karaoke machine and you know what you can do with it.
