Went to dine in with a few friends on the occasion of my birthday. It is located on the DH road which was very easy to find. It was a Sunday afternoon and the place was empty. We were cordially escorted to our table. The ambience was good and quite spacious. I liked the decor which had a bar counter. We had a lot of different items on the menu. 🔹Pan fried Chilli Fish - We ordered for the basa variety. The gravy was really good. It had 8 pieces and was very tasty. 🔹Panko fried fish - This was just like our very well known fish fry. Nothing worth mentioning but it was good. 🔹Chicken Sriracha - This was really good. This was a bit sweet but I kind of liked the taste. 🔹Barbeque Pork Stir Ribs - We really had high expectations choosing this dish, but it was too sweet. The taste was not at all complementing the dish. 🔹Mixed Burnt Garlic Fried Rice - I loved this rice. The flavour of burnt garlic can easily be recognised. It will definitely complement any side dishes. 🔹Mixed Singapore Rice - This tasted just like any other mixed fried rice. Nothing major worth mentioning. 🔹Mixed Pan fried noodles - This tasted really nice. The quantity can easily be shared by two people. 🔹Mixed Shanghai Special Fried Rice - This was the best rice dish so far. The flavours were really unique which I had not eaten anywhere else. Highly recommended. 🔹Bulgogi Chicken - Another star dish to order. We absolutely loved it. 🔹Yu Lat Chee Fish - The fish was raw and had a weird smell. We just could not eat this. We brought it to the notice of the manager, but he replied that it was basa fish,so it had the smell. I found this logic kind of weird. Lastly we had a few mocktails like Shirley Temple, Virgin Mojito, Green Sea and Fresh lime soda. Overall the experience was good. But the fish fiasco was...

Food quality : 4 stars. Quantity : 5 stars. (Chowman-esque portions) Ambience : 4 stars. Service : 4 stars. Availability of items : 2 stars. (they didn't have Mushroom available, and a lot of items in the menu were scratched out) Price : 4 stars. Affordable and worth it.
Points to note :: there are atleast 100 reviews on ZOMATO, that I could glance through, are absolutely FAKE, along with the profiles posting them. Those are easy to identify thou - (adjective) Service, two food item names, (adjective) experience, and/or (adjective) serving. Most of them are followed by someone called Hrishikesh, and have about 100 followers, and a generic profile picture. And some of the profiles miraculously have visited all outlets of Shanghai and visit 10 restaurants in a day and post 2 line reviews about them in Chatgpt-esque English instantly. Of course, as you would've guessed by now, all of those reviews are 5-star and have no images. So please beware before deciding based on recent reviews.
The Google reviews of the same restaurant are genuine mostly.

Read moreThe advertising was false, first of all, all the items in the 249/- menu weren't available. We had to sit for 15-20 mins for the staff to give us a menu that is already fixed. The staff were roaming around doing absolutely nothing, expect like one of them. The food was average, the portion size was very less. They were hardly organised. The wait time was extremely high. For a fixed menu and fixed items being served, I had no idea what took them 20-25 mins to serve the same food on all tables. The staff were not even paying attention. We sat and waited for 20 mins again just for them to bring the card machine as they were just roaming around the restaurant doing nothing, we got frustrated in the end and paid in cash and left without waiting any further. Extremely bad experience. Oh, and some of the food were extremely over salted but we realised there was no point in complaining as all the staff were inefficient. Every single one in the restaurant seemed to be annoyed by their service. I didn't understand what the concept of putting a menu after 20 mins on the table was if the menu was bloody fixed. Why provide a menu if there is nothing to choose from?...
