THE BACKYARDS RESTAURANT CUM BAR — Restaurant in West Bengal

This was a total letdown.

Ambience- If you have a big lcd/led tv at home, and loud speakers, you can have a better atmosphere at your own place. There is no logic for anyone to buy overpriced food and alcohol for this ambience. 😳

Food- Noticing their service we didn't order much. The sweet corn chat was meh. The signature cocktail Back yards special was decent. However , the other one, Tequila sunset was not a cocktail. These people are either conning customers or even worse, they have o clue what a cocktail is. They give a tequila shot and pass it off as cocktail. This one has no resemblance with tequila sunrise although the name may suggest otherwise. 😑

Service- This is the worst aspect of the place, which is a tough call, since they are all rounder at being bad in every department. When I pointed out that a tequila shot is not a cocktail, the waiter argued that he had already mentioned tequila as the only ingredient. (And I, like any sane person would,assumed that tequila was the only alcoholic ingredient of that cocktail, but they would add some non alcoholic drinks) . When I was given the tequila shot, I asked them to make a proper cocktail, for which they charged me Rs 200/- extra!!!!

One of us was non alcoholic and for him, we asked for a coke. The waiter served the spirits, but had to be reminded atleast thrice before he decided that he had harrassed us enough and finally brought the coke half an hour later. All of us had to wait that long before we could take a sip. 😒

This is one of a kind place in a small city like durgapur. This is a combination of bar, hookah lounge and restaurant. The menu, whether drink or food, is small but varied. It serve s only chinese food right now. But the quality is amazing. It has the lowest price for hookah in the market. (only ₹199) The flavours are also nice. There are regular events happening at this place and nice offers keep running. Thursdays are ladies night where you get free cocktails. I went there with my girlfriends on Women's Day. We had free cocktails. The FB and Instagram page is constantly updated with all the offers and details. The restrobar was serving drinks @₹49 last month which was an amazing offer. I hope they come back with it again. A must...

Great place it is, it is in the top floor of junction mall. Its not a restaurant at all actually its a cafe with hookah parlour, you can get lots of food like chinese to burger here, Service is nice and ambience is great actually. Recently they are giving an offer that hookah @rs 1 so you people must go and try this place. But donot except too much ...food quality is good but not like a fully functional...
