Learn moreNov -2024: Had to come back and edit my not-so-good review of last year. Supremely improved experience this time. Started with booking through Easydiner, which is now applicable in DGP (u get discounts if paid through the app based on various offers) - booking was smooth and confirmations were received from both Easydiner and BBQ on WA.
On the D-day, got calls from BBQ confirming booking. Had booked for lunch for 12 heads and right from entry to billing the experience was delightful. Food quality was super and almost every item tasted great. The ongoing bengali food festival added few extra choices like luchi, veg chop, fish finger, alu posto etc. Taste of food is at par with BBQ outlets in other major cities.
We even got complimentary drinks, which had been discontinued since some time by BBQ. The platters and choice was quite wide as usual. The difference was created by our enthusiastic and efficient attendant.
Celebrated our anniversary day with a cute and tasty cake. The ending with BBQ's signature dessert choices, by far the widest choices among reputed restaurants serving buffet, was the best with the pastries, malpua, firni, custard, gulab jamoon, ice cream and coolfies.
Feb 2023_What has always been 5 star had to be downgraded to 3 just because of the fall in service levels and poor decision to deliberately cut costs. Mocktails not part of course anymore. They serve you veg initially deliberately to kill off apetite, keep delaying prawns, then do a miserly act on serving second helpings of prawns. No mutton grill starters in menu. Overall cut down in main menu, salads and desserts.
Taste still very good but after being used to high service standards this one from the Durgapur team was very...
Read moreFantastic Dining Experience at Barbeque Nation, Durgapur!
My recent visit to Barbeque Nation in Durgapur was nothing short of delightful. From the moment we stepped in, we were greeted warmly by the staff, who promptly seated us and explained the unique buffet-cum-grill concept they're famous for.
The ambiance was inviting with a perfect blend of cozy interiors and lively chatter. What impressed me the most was the extensive variety of starters brought directly to our table. Each dish was impeccably marinated and grilled to perfection, ensuring a burst of flavors in every bite. The live grill at the table added a fun element to the dining experience, allowing us to customize our dishes to our liking.
Moving on to the main course, the buffet offered an array of dishes catering to different tastes and preferences. Whether you're a fan of Indian cuisine or prefer international flavors, there was something for everyone. The quality and freshness of the food were outstanding, reflecting the care taken by the chefs.
To top it off, the dessert spread was heavenly. The assortment of sweets and pastries was a fitting end to our feast, leaving us fully satisfied and craving for more.
Apart from the delicious food, the service was exemplary. The staff was attentive and courteous throughout, ensuring that our dining experience was seamless and enjoyable.
Overall, Barbeque Nation in Durgapur exceeded my expectations in terms of food quality, service, and ambiance. It's the perfect place for a family outing, a celebration with friends, or even a casual dinner. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience...
Read moreAtmosphere good. Services offered are impressive. Beautiful ambience and favourite vibes.
However from the dine in perspective, BN has lost its old charm. It is not so worth spending here. Those days are gone when we used to relish every single bite of the starters that are straight from the grill. Chicken items are no longer delicious, introduction of fried items have partially replaced the barbequed items, main course looks pale and ordinary. Foods do not excite the tase buds anymore. In dessert, brownies have become super dry, consistency of the phirni or payesh has decreased hugely, pies have become tasteless. Moreover, It is disappointing from BN to make customer try out new things that the consumers may not be happy with or paying for. (Ex: offering to serve chettinad cuisine in west bengal while the customers are purely looking for either north Indian or barbequed food). Also I feel the generosity is being overdone here. Too much friendliness is so not convenient as well, repeating questions on food taste from the manager, asking why my plate is not full thinking if or not I liked the main course, insisting to have that extra bite of kulfi are all value added but at the same time fussy. I think BN should upgrade the quality of their food that they used to offer earlier. With that they will regain...
