The Floof n Whiskers — Restaurant in West Bengal

We had mutton biryani, and it was not good. I can barely call it a biryani. It was missing the flavours of biryani, only got the flavour of ghee. The mutton pieces were not cooked well, it was very hard. By looking and tasting, I doubt they cooked it with the biryani; most likely they fried it separately and then just mixed, because there was no flavour of biryani masalas. Leave biryani masala, it didn't have any regular masala, just a normal tawa fried mutton with salt, pepper and turmeric. Even the biryani felt like it was not prepared on 'dum'. Generally, biriyani stays prepared, but they took much longer time to serve (note: we were the only customers in the whole cafe), so I have a feeling they might have prepared it quickly and served. On top of that, I got a hair (you can find that in my photos). Terrible experience.

The only good thing was they served raita with it, which was really good. Ambience wise it is good inside, and not crowded at all, I mean, me and my friend were the only customers combining both the floors, and that even in the proper dinner time (we were there for almost 1...

I was reluctant to go to this place for price concern, but they definitely has lot of items which are value for money. I tried Grilled Barbeque Chicken and Fish and Chips. Both were excellent in taste and cost effective. I would prefer to have little more chips. The have very courteous staff and service was fast also. Not many guests were there although. They have good spacious seating capacity with a big party table also. Very picturesque, clean place. This restaurant best enjoyed by visiting, not through home delivery. New staff are there and they are ignorant and rude and unprofessional. Floof and whiskers is actually a good restaurant. Taste of the food is medium 'ish' with some items tastes over the top, and some are a bit less arousing for my taste buds. But in a nutshell food is good. But what stands out most is their behavior. The staffs are way too polite and professional. I haven't experienced such well mannered, customer friendly staffs. So, full marks in that department. Over all it's a good restaurant and one would definitely enjoy eating there.
