MJN Club is one of the most prestigious, if not the most prestigious, clubs in North Bengal. Established by the Maharaja of Coochbehar in 1940.
The club is situated in the middle of Coochbehar town, next to the bus stand and very near to Coochbehar railway station. The club compound is huge. The club building is constructed in Mughal style. As many as eleven large rooms are there in the club building. It's a heritage building and well maintained by the club itself. There is a small but beautiful garden in front of the club building.
Sporting facilities like cricket, badminton, table tennis, lawn tennis and billiards are available there. Sporting, cultural and social welfare activities are arranged by the club and are taken up regularly.
Beside the club building there is an indoor stadium. The large floor area of the indoor stadium is also used for holding parties. The public may use this and the relatively small hall in the main club building for social and cultural functions on payment of prescribed fees. The vast lawn in front of the indoor stadium may accommodate some 500 people.
