I went to Subway at Thiruvanmiyur (# 630201-0) today with my family for having dinner. When I was in the restaurant, I noticed that the same person with the same gloves was making Sub from both the vegetarian and non-vegetarian counters. He was picking chicken and vegetables from the same hand - without changing his gloves.
When I objected to this and said why can't you change your gloves and do it - as defined in the process, he was very rude and stated, "You see the crowd here. How do you expect me to keep on changing gloves?".
Is this how Subway is expected to treat its customers who are strict vegetarians? I am appalled at his rudeness in answering. Note: there were only two people maning Subway today and no supervisor, so I couldn't lodge a complaint. The other employee intervened and ensured that he wore a new pair of gloves and made us Subs.
Note: When I wasn't there the last time around, my wife faced the same issue and had objected to this blatant violation of the process laid down by Subway.

Read moreExtremely disappointed with my visit to this Subway outlet. We ordered two sandwiches – Chicken Meatball and Chicken Keema neither tasted anything like chicken. The fillings felt like some bland flour mix; absolutely no flavor or texture of chicken in either sandwich. The person preparing our food seemed completely uninterested and unwelcoming, almost like we were bothering him by walking in. When I asked questions, he simply raised his hands and gestured toward the menu without saying a word very rude and dismissive behavior. There was no effort in preparing the sandwiches just tossed in some veggies, no baking, and handed them over. No extra sauces were allowed, no water available for dine-in, and not even a basic hand-washing area for customers. To make things worse, when we asked what sauces were available, he didn’t even respond properly – just pointed at the colored containers and expected us to figure it out ourselves. Absolutely ridiculous! This was one of the worst food and service experiences I’ve had. Poor food quality, zero customer care, and a complete letdown.

I had this experience couple of months back (May 21) to be exact. Usually Subway has been nothing but amazing, personally, in terms of food quality and taste. In terms of service, there hasn't been anything to complain. But this branch was THE WORST. And the person at the counter was the sole reason. He took alot of time to put things together, though there was literally no other orders. When requested to speed up, he frowned and replied very rudely. Very Rudely. I didn't want to escalate the issue, so just took my Subway. But he got the bread wrong. And again frowned to redo it. For a mistake he did.
