Service: Not recommended for first time visitor here. Looks like they have their own customers and only those are welcome. Any new person goes here at peak time, won't be treated well, only thing is... they didn't say 'get out'. Rest all they will do. If you are happy to eat your food from a server with an irritated face, Treating and yelling bad, then you go. Never ask anything xtra or customisation. Else every one from other table will look at you getting scolding from server. They don't care even if you are CM or collector.
Food. You can order anything from menu. But they will serve only what they got . Some times , for idly, dosa you may need to have with out either chutney or sambar. You can request for Tomato chutney or red chutney. But get ready for scolding.
lunch time meals? If you go late, they will invite ok and confirm meals available until you sit and start, they won't tell the truth... Only while serving they will say. No sambar, only rasam and curd. No kuttu or no poriyal. By that time you might have placed your hands on cold rice. But that cost will be same.
Ok. Parcel meal. Via food app. Another worst thing they can do for remote people.
In a parcel meal costing 220rs, you won't get these items...
No watha kulambu or karakulambu No kootu , No poriyal, No keerai, No sweet, No pickle, No appalam.
Wat you will get is.
Small box of half cooked white rice, sambar packet, rasam packet, moore kulambu packet. Very small ready made curd packet. Very small cup potato dish. All these just cost 220rs only.
If you ordered any tiffen item like idly or dosa. Don't get surprised if you get just idly or dosa with out chutney or sambar.
Taste.. nothing awesome taste. Just an very average taste.
Better to avoid. can go ALM or some where near by. Would be much better than these.
--my old review-- Old: 3.5 star
Purest veg. Traditional style tiffen and lunch provider. One best place for having tiffen or lunch for all murudeshwar temple visitors.
Nothing will be spicy here. Even green chilli won't be spicy hot.
Very rarely they provide, Chili chutney or spicy watha kulambu.
Samber and most dishes will be blended with ghee to suppress any spiciness.
Don't go for , wheat parata or any parata. Might be old reheated one.
Found little rude in service when they said no for my request for aviyal for kal dosa, I even asked to bill them what ever it cost. But it's taste was really nice. Unfortunately I ordered Adai dosa which I wasted just for aviyal.
Idiyappam,. I tried in the evening. Looks like They are not usual bulk machine made. Instead traditionally hand made and steamed with banana leaf. But it turned complete chill while served.
Service: Peak time service, don't expect to be quick.
Ambient: every traditional old agraharm style house turned into...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at the House of Annapoorna, located at Thiruvanmiyur Temple Tank. This was my second visit to the restaurant, and I was just as impressed as I was the first time.
The restaurant itself is a charming old house that has been converted into a hotel. The ambiance is warm and inviting, making it the perfect spot for a relaxing dinner.
If you're looking for excellent vegetarian cuisine, the House of Annapoorna is an excellent choice. On my recent visit, I ordered the Adai and Avial, which was top-notch. The Poori and Kilangu were also delicious, and I appreciated that they were made with wheat and not maida. The Ghee Podi Dosa was another highlight, with an excellent podi that was clearly made in-house. Finally, the filter coffee was outstanding.
I also ordered a parcel of Parota and Veg Kuruma, which was excellent, although the Parota was a bit harder than I would have liked. Overall, the meal was a great value, and I paid only ₹220.
On my previous visit, I had ordered the Rava Kichidi, Curd Vadai, and Filter Coffee, all of which were delicious.
Overall, I would highly recommend the House of Annapoorna to anyone looking for excellent vegetarian cuisine in a charming and welcoming atmosphere. My overall...

This could accommodate close to 40 people at a stretch.
They serve tiffin in the Morning including a Mini Tiffin / Combo, Meals - both limited, unlimited and Variety rice in the afternoon, Snacks in the evening and Dinner - Tiffins and Sevai varieties in the night.
When we went there for dinner, we ordered Onion Uthappam, Thengsi Sevai and Lemon Sevai.
Uthappam was served along with 2 types of Chutneys and Sambar, so do the Sevai. On that day, they prepared Thengsi Chutney and Pudina Chutney. Both were very good. Sambar was ok. Uthappam tasted good. Sevai was also nice.
They also serve Adai / Avial, Idiyappam/ Thangai Pal on occasions. Worth tasting them too.
The environment is decent. They serve the food in Banana leaf, which makes it special.
Service can be slightly better - primarily the crowd management and turn around time during rush hours.
If you are looking for good Vegetarian food in the Thiruvanmiyur area, then this is a very...
