murugan idli shop — Restaurant in Zone 5 Royapuram

Never eat parotta in a idli shop. It was hard, my jaws really hurt. Kurma given with parotta didn't have any taste. What I really understood here is, in a idli shop idli only will be good.

The shop, food, atmosphere and service everything is good. They keep it really neat and clean. Restroom wasn't clean and I don't want to explain about it here. The price of the food is too good(costly I meant). I loved the food actually. Service was good.

Ghee roast Crispy and was good with the sambar, chutney they gave.

Paneer dosai I loved this. The paneer filling inside tasted like paneer butter masala. But it wasn't spicy or overwhelming. They provided lots of sambar alone for paneer dosai. But I loved it with the chutneys. Paneer was really soft and juicy. Big dosa with lots of paneer. Wish I ordered this alone. But I'm sure the waiter didn't mention about this dosa in the beginning menu.

Curd rice They served it with chinna vengayam, grapes and mango grated pickle. It was good and I always find curd rice as comforting food.

Jigarthanda Wish the quantity was a bit more because I love ice creams. The syrup, ice cream all was thick and good.

Overall it's a decent place and nothing extraordinary about the taste. Everything tasted good like homemade food. I kinda felt like all chutneys tasted the same. It's just my opinion. If you are ok with the price, do try all their dishes. I have rated them for their good, hygienic, decent food...

This is one the best place in Chennai for food which I know! . South Indian food lover?? Specially idali lovers??? Than most visit this place when you come Chennai, madurai nd many more place which they have branches . World famous Morgan Idali. . First time I test it in Madurai! That place is sooo crowded. Nd very much famous in town! . Very nice. Neat and clean. Behaviour of the staffs are nice. The other items are also nice. The sweet shop attached here is also good. Since this place is closed to the North gate of Madras High Court there is a rush at lunch time. Since the services are fast you can have a quick bite when you come to the Court for some reason.

This place is Gud and crowded even at night but people caring and they make us to wait till they finish other customers food taste is Gud but the waiter makes us to wait for long time to take the order sweets and snakes are not up to the mark Pls go only if you have time night time also they are busy they serve in first in and first out.

Food and price is fine. They should improve their service patern. I'm finding always issue with their slow service. Jigiruthanda was not upto the mark. One good thing is they were serving jigiruthanda in clay cup in a good quality which you can take back...

Yesterday (23.10.2021) went for dinner at Murugan idly shop, parry’s branch. Had food and there was a mistake made by the server at our order. To our bad luck, we noticed the mistake after having food and billing only. Then, I went on to talk about the issue to the billing counter. The person in charge at the counter, was verbally thrashing the server in front of me. Without even apologizing for the mistake, the in charge at the billing counter was talking rude to me and asking me to be aware when the order was served. Then, he was asking me, ‘what do you want me to do for this?’. This is really a bad gesture from the person in charge and spoilt the whole mood of our dinner. The issue was resolved in my favour, but the behaviour of in charge at the billing counter was very rude. I forgot to ask his name.
