Located in the bustling area of Anna Nagar, Shachin Ka Daba is a spot that promises to deliver authentic Punjabi flavors. my visit to this place was filled with anticipation. The restaurant, though modest in size, offers a decent ambiance that reflects the simplicity of a typical Punjabi dhaba. The ambiance is just about okay, functional enough to enjoy a meal, but itâs nothing to write home about, lack of parking space. Situated in a busy neighborhood, finding a place to park can be a hassle. If you're driving, be prepared to spend some time hunting for a spot.
Now, coming to the foodâ which is the heart of any dhaba experienceâ Shachin Ka Daba doesnât disappoint. We ordered a variety of dishes, including Naan, Garlic Naan, Tandoori Roti, Punjabi Chicken, Butter Chicken, and Chicken 65. The naans were perfectly fluffy, with just the right amount of crispiness on the outside. The Tandoori Roti had a nice char and was soft inside, pairing well with the curries.
However, the Punjabi Chicken was a bit of a letdown. While the portion size was generous, the taste fell short of expectations
Overall, Shachin Ka Daba offers a satisfying culinary experience if you're in the mood for some hearty Punjabi fare. While the prices are on the higher side, the quality of most dishes justifies the expense. Itâs definitely worth a visit, but perhaps with the expectation of exploring different items on the menu next time.

Read moreLiterally, the worst restaurant!! The food was worse and they forgot a dish to parcel that I had ordered for takeaway. My food order and the comments on it are as follows:- Chicken Fried Rice (Rice was not cooked properly and the corn was half cooked) Latcha Paratha (It was so hard that I could use it as a hard rock to throw at someone) Chicken Biriyani (Not at all considered as a biriyani in the first place, tasted like chilli rice) Butter Naan (Same as Latcha Paratha but was like rubber, worse than a tyre) Chicken Tandoori (Masala just put on a chicken, also no mayoneese and roti with it) Chicken Manchurian (Not upto the taste) Punjabi Chicken Masala (Not delivered in the first place and the restaurant manager fought with us stating that we were lying)
Wasted my RS.1300 for all these dishes and would not recommend this place to anyone. Save your money for better...

The Taste is even more worst and clumsy ... It goes to the extent even the mineral water (they give it a name ) is tasting bad.. I used the so called mineral water for washing my hands after taking a sip.
Food will be served in a plate that looks ages old and there are many a chance you can find flies and insects joining you for your dine in.
