Toy train station - Chennai Rail Museum — Attraction in Zone 8 Anna Nagar

Went to this place with my kids today. Since it rained yesterday (22 September 2025) there was a lot of stagnant water and excessive mosquitoes. So many school kids waiting to take the toy train and yet no attempt to make the place mosquito free or even spray some kind of medicine to keep the mosquitoes at bay. The good part about this place is that the staff are friendly and the place is neat. But the mosquitoes really ruined our experience. We were worried we will get malaria or such diseases as they were so many in number. 2 stars for lack of empathy when it comes to keeping kids safe and disease free. Considering that this place is thriving on kids picnics , I think the focus has to be to eliminate or keep the mosquitoes at bay....Also , pls check the timings for toy train rides before u go. It's once an hour or two hours only. Goes only 1 round but...

It's a superb place to spend 1-2 hour time with family, friends and kids..The main attraction is beautiful toy train with Rs.50 only..it will give u a superb feelings indeed..Rail museum was constructed in 2002..It has several collection of Steam engines, vintage coach those are very old ones..The painting of train n platform is so live here for taking photoes standing infront it, would confuse anyone.. Seeing The pics, anyone would say, u r hanging from real train..Just check my pics.. Nearby for tea, coffee, snacks, icecream, colddrinks etc Shop is there..So just have...

Rail museum nice place to see olden train, how Icf developed step by step to improve the Indian railways for public comfortable journey...

Museum entrance fee 50 Rs,,, including tea or snacks worth 10 Rs.. In olden days they used wood coal for fuel that train also available hear

For kids nice place for playing park also joy train also available for kids I think kids like very much for enjoying this place... We like to see older train and equipment very amazing... 1909 equipment also available hear..
