Babi Guling Payangan Buk Ari — Restaurant in Bali

If you are after an authentic babi guling experience this is your place. A bit out of town, this roadside establishment might not have a fancy fit out, but it feels like a place where the locals go to enjoy this Balinese favorite. Didn't see a menu, but didn't need one. "2? Spicy?" was the only thing that was asked of us. I like things pretty spicy but we decided to be a bit cautious and requested medium. I'm glad we did as even this was pretty hot.

The meat was tender and delicious, the crackling crispy, and the accoutrements plentiful. Free bags of extra crackling were piled high on every table, which we promptly tucked in to.

Good food with decent price that locals eat. Babi guling with rice is 35k IDR. Becareful because if say the spicy instead normal, it is indonesian spicy. If you are indonesia, dont worry it is spicy but tolerable.

The soup is really salty you might want to eat it with the other less salty parts, and the pig skin is crunchy but not that crispy.
